    Here's the scenario:

A friend of mine is selling her 2005 Hyundai Getz GL 1.4l A/T, silver, all-stock for Php140k then assume balance of Php7735/month for 20 months more.

RFS: the owner is leaving next week for Canada.

Prospective Buyer: my best friend, who's currently abroad but will be back home in December. So, he wants me to decide for him if this is a good buy or not.

Car's condition: Ok lang. Well kept naman and has complete service records.

Problem: is this a good buy for my friend? How do I transfer the ownership from the seller to the buyer since hindi sila mag-aabot dito sa Pinas?

    What do you think?

if you can have your friend guarantee the condition, i'd say buy it. minimal money out, and then spread to 20months pa the remainder - looks like a good deal to me.

as for the transfer, maybe just let the seller leave a signed deed of sale? dunno though how the remaining payments would be addressed.

Finance-wise good deal na rin. Of course, i assume the cars condition is excellent.
If you can ironed out the paper works in the deal....

294,700 total cash out, mukhang talo ng onti. considering after 2 years, the car has depreciated a lot.

Or better consult the dealer sa papers at babayarang balance. good luck

Let your friend see the diff of Getz at i10, sabagay type ko dati Getz pero may i10 na e mas tipid sa gas, for city driving ok siya.?

Actually, the owner asked for Php140k, and the monthly installments is Php7.7k, total of Php294k lang for everything. If my friend gets a brand-new car, that already almost double the price for the cheapest and most decent available car compared to the Getz that is being sold to us. Besides, pang extra car lang naman to.
