Hey guys! So i just received my ECU today. I wasted no time, slapped it on, warmed up my car about 10 mins and hit the road. Too bad at first since it was rush hour so it was all 1st and 2nd gear. While driving slow, i noticed that the rev hang when you shift from 1st gear to 2nd gear was gone. I hated that before.

Cruising on 2nd gear, i played around with the throttle a little bit. The car felt like it had so much more torque! I couldn't wait to hit the highway. I just had to.

The best part! I stepped on the gas as soon i hit the highway. I literally said HOLY $#!+!!! It was AMAZING!!! First of all, as soon as i stepped on it, my rear slid. That's coz i was turning and had my TCS/ESC turned off also but before i couldn't do it without a clutch kick or wet road. It was dry today! I instantly loved it!!! When you step on the gas, the car just screams!!! My friend from Gencoupe, Xocai Genesis kept telling me this... "it'll feel like there is a beast that was just unleashed". Hahaha! True enough, i felt it! The additional 700 rpm in the rev limit is also just amazing!

I was only able to hit the 4th gear since there were many cars on the highway. But shifting up and heel and toe down was just a pleasure with this reflash. I freakin love my car more now! I've just been driving 3 hours straight with this reflash. If i didn't have stuff to do tonight, i'd still be driving around. Haha! I can't wait to hit the drift track on sunday!

nasa Gensan po kasi ako ngayon....dito po nakaaddress bumper kasi may titingin...hehe tapos papadala ulit manila..tapos 11 po balik ko...eh kelangan papo ifoil....ang foilacar out of town hehe...may binabalot na Carrera ng CF!!! hehe

Thank you sir! Mine took 16 days to be exact. But i had some troubles along the way which would have not happened if i used express. I asked kasi a stewardess friend to mail it from hawaii pa. And to my surprise, US postal service ain't that accurate. They wasted about 4 days. I only paid 350 USD sir kasi i committed and paid SFR 2 months ago pa when they released it.

I think it's about 450 to 500 USD for 2.0T and 600 USD for the V6 now. Whatever price you pay though, it's all worth it. All my previous problems in the car i didn't like was fixed. i found the rev limit too short. Now i can rev up to 7,200 rpm. The rev hang in between gears are all gone. Shifting is much smoother now. And the throttle response... DAMN! I just love it!

Jay of SFR is asking if we have enough interest here. Let me know. I'll start a thread on the genesiscoupeclub.ph for it. You can sign up if you are interested. I want them to come here din para i can have my ECU tuned hoping i'll have my other mods na on the car by that time.

Thanks for your seat of the pants review. A reflash means you need to send them your ECU (chip) or they will supply you with a new one (chip) and you personally take your old one off and install the new one in? Or is this the whole motherboard? What happens with our Hyundai 5 year warranty?

they won't know or you could simply reflash to your stock ECU i think??
