Honda civic '97 - '98

I am a car NOOB!
i just want to know:
What will be a best buy if I am to buy a CIVIC '97 or '98 Model?
-What Engine? (Type or model)
-What Body Type (Tama ba? may different body type for each model?)
-Please post your Suggestions or Opinions to this thread.

All I know is it is BEST TO BUY STOCK CARS at yun lang.. ^_^
And I don't want to regret when I buy a Civic, just keeping safe!

It would be better if you can find a '99-'00 model Civic VTi or LXi...same generation as '96-'98 but with upgraded tail lights and headlights (SiR body style). The '99-'00 are also ethanol fuel ready, unlike the earlier Civics.

What will be a best buy if I am to buy a CIVIC '97 or '98 Model? - Civic 98'. The newer the better. If you could get a later model 99-00' VTi Civics, then it would be much better.

you have two choices:

vti or lxi

vti:

silver trim sa windows
door handle central control
better fabric
14's stock mags
1600 vtec ph16
very good power delivery in high rpm because of vtec

lxi:

basic all power (window, lock, steering)
black trim sa windows (like the SiR)
no arm rest
1500 non-vtec engine. good for city driving kasi mas matipid kesa sa VTi

for me VTi ka na, may vtec power.

i own an lxi, ok namam siya gamitin. less power sa vti sa highway pero can match VTi at low gears/rpm hehe

Tama sila sir. Yung '99-'00 na ang bilhin niyo. SIR sana kaso bibihira na ang stock nito dahil halos lahat may mods na ginawa na. Vti ok naman. 13 years na kasi vti ko okay pa din siya. Dapat siguro sama ka ng mekaniko kung hindi ka familiar sa mga kotse. Lalo na yung papers.
