According to HCPI chemical reaction and bird poop.
No repaint. No clear coat application. NOT UNDER WARRANTY!

Yes, blaming us since bubbles manifest when car is with us. They firmly believe that bird poop can do this + possible daw na nausukan ako ng jeep... :rollin :rollin Oh, c'mon.

Haaay... HCPI... What's happening? Tsk tsk...

Bird poop markings and imperfections due to dust during painting leave different markings on the paint. The former would normally leave a mark similar to watermarks while the latter are like small pinholes.

If it is really bird pooop, it really depends on how the owners take care of their car. The amount of bird poop needed to inflict that type of damage might seem excessive but i've seen one of my officemates bring a city to the office with that many bird poop droppings all over the car.

(and how many times have I heard about the complaints and defects sa workmanship ng paint mula sa casa?)

Accord ko nung nabangga dinala sa casa. dun napinturahan. wasn't satisfied with the result. hindi pantay ang masilya, panget ang pagka-primer, lots of orange peel, kulang sa sanding, and may bubbles pa which I myself had to correct. hindi pa color-match ang mica sa Night Hawk Black nila... (NOX ang gamit nila, di ba?)

based on experience, malambot talaga ang paint ng Honda. scratches easily.

na-experience na din namin yun magkarun ng lobo lobo sa hood after repainting. kumbaga para bulutong, each day padami ng padami. this was our suzuki samurai way way back pa.

with ms devin's case, it took 4 months bago lumabas. hindi nakakapagtaka mag-suspetsa nga ang honda dyan. malaki ang possibility na chemical reaction nga from something "unknown". it just so happens na madali i-frame up ang mga ibon saka puno kasi hindi naman aamin yun hahahaha

and i do agree with the thin paint job of hondas. we had 3 na and madali mag chip-off talaga. even sa mild tama lang ng door sa katabi tsikot, kita mo kagad ang gasgas. dunno why ganito style nila, maybe to make hondas faster, lighter paint means lighter body.

yun na nga lang talaga, kung 4 months malabo outright replacement dyan. parang stores sa malls yan eh, they give you 2weeks to a month outright replacement. to see and to test kung may factory defects nga talaga. and I think under the consumer act of the Philippines, na-mention nga ito up to 1 month replacement. cge try ko ulit search yun law na yun. nabasa ko yun before when I was returning a defective digicam.

Meron bang paint protection yung kotse? Baka naman clear coat failure?

Whatever the case, the dealer should still resolve the issue. Ignoring this situation will cost them sooner than later.

this reminds me of my former boss' paint car finish in Malaysia... its a toyota LC, just after 5 months old the paint finish deteriorated and also UMW (toyota sole distributor in Malaysia) don't want to perform or offer any rectification works to the paint defect. Ang ginawa niya, pinabayaan na lang at naglagay ng malaking karatula sa may windshield niya which reads "CAUTION:PAINT HAD PEELED-OFF AFTER 5-MONTHS ONLY".
not sure though kung malaki ang impact nito sa sales ng Toyota with the same make/model!

AFAIK lahat ng mga bagong sasakyan ngayon may factory rustproofing na, it is applied before applying the base coat and top coat.

    So much for Honda die-hards...

Regarding 109's question: Di nga dapat inoofer ang aftermarket rustproofing to begin with...
