what is the best offset for 17" mags for civic fd 2010

hi guys, i'm planning to buy a rota IKF 17" mags for my civic fd 2010. It's a personalized order so i got to choose my own offset. The problem is I don't have any idea on what offset would best fit the civic as well as the size of tires I will use. I'm thinking of thicker tires to lessen the gap of the tires and the body of the civic. I need your suggestions. Thank you.

FoR looks, go with 18" rims with 225\40 tires, +45 offset

Most fd's I see runs with 18s. Don't know why but sure looks cool. Imho

+45 offset is a good general-purpose offset for front-wheel-drive cars and it'll fit most Hondas.

What wheel width are you considering? 7"? 7.5"? You might want to compare your potential wheel specs with your stock ones.

I'm also considering 18" but some say that my riding comfort will be compromised. If ever i've decided to get 18" wheels, what can you suggest that i should do to lessen the riding sacrifice other than slowing down on potholes and changing my springs..

thanks ozcity for the pics. ganda ng pagka set up mo sa fd mo. ganyan na ganyan ung gusto kong maging itsura ng fd ko ask ko na lang din bro kung nag pa lowered ka ba dyan o nagpalit ng springs? o stock lang? sorry for my ignorance

^ stock suspension lang ako...18"s are really good kung porma talaga gusto mo..kaso sacrifice naman ang comfort...

at 225/40/18 you have to pump your tires between 35-40 psi
at 225/45/17 32-35psi

so mostlikely mas comfortable ang 17" with 225/45, you only need to
lower it a bit para maporma...

gusto ko talaga mag 18"s kaso meron akong mga long drive (500-1000kms)
maporma nga kaso bugbog nanaman katawan ko sa byhae

ako din gusto ko 18" for the looks pero i guess pareho tayong concern sa long trips. every month i travel to la union and baguio so i go more for the comfort. thanks again bro.

btw, any recommendation sa tire brands na ok pero hindi mahal? nagcanvass kasi ako sa t. mapua sabi nila ok daw dunlop 5,500 each, worth it ba?

if youre willing to sacrifice ride quality for looks go 18s. kasi ako I tried that na. kaso di pwede talaga sakin. everyday car ko kase ung FD. 2 months ko lang natagalan ung IKF 18s... everyday paguwi stressed ako. ngayon balik stock ako hahaha. siguro tsaka nako papalit ulit pero 17s nalang.
