    ano po ang recommended type and viscosity of 96 civic vti gear oil?

    brod, honda uses ENGINE OIL as gear oil for manual transmissions. grade 10w-30. anything higher and you'll have shifting problems.

    for automatics use only honda atf-z1 from the casa AND NO OTHER. wag maniwala sa iba na pwede ang mobil atf, etc etc. pwede, pero masira tranny mo in about a couple months.
