2001 Civic (A/T) Shift Lever stuck in parking mode

hello mga sirs, magandang gabi. ask ko lang po if meron naka explerience ng na stuck ung shift lever sa P mode.nagawan ko po ng paraan dahil nabasa ko sa manual kung pano i manual shift from P to N then start engine. pero baka may makatulong po kung ano ung problem at pano i troubleshoot na hindi na kailngan ng mechanic.kasi 2 days ko na po ginagawa ung nasa manual na gamitin ung key para maalis sa P mode ung lever.. thanks..

malamang sira na yung actuator sa locking nung shift lever or sira na yung brake switch mo.. have it checked para mapalitan

I will try not to rant about this problem but it seems common ito sa mga honda, ganyan din nangyari sa accord ko, twice. at ang feedback coming from the Service head mismo ng honda sa isang dealer na pinagawaan ko, very common daw ito specially sa mga crvs. second time nangyari sa akin ECU ang ipinalit at solenoid. Binenta ko na after mapagawa. Im not buying an AT honda anymore. I hope you get it fixed at a much cheaper cost than what i spent to fix mine.

Naku sir sana mapagawa niyo yan.. try mo dalin sa honda spa or sa reputable mekaniko. Naka honda A/T din ako kakatakot naman

sa sunod sir bago mo lagay sa park unahin mo yung hand break para di maglock, parang may nabasa kasi ako na ganyan

sir, naencounter ko yan dati sa civic 99 matic ko. hope its the same problem lang. try to look at your fusebox baka may busted lang na fuse i just cant remember anymore kung anu un label pero definitely related sya sa transmission. hope it work.

Hmmmm..... I experienced this once also with first-gen CRV. But back then, it was still under warranty so the CASA fixed it for free. Pero sobrang hassle -- kasi nung mangyari yun, the car was already on the road, parked on a street in Makati, and we had to call in a tow truck to bring it to CASA.
