HI guys ... need some advice. Got a quotation from a Honda casa for the scheduled 40k kms. maintenance for my 03 CRV. The labor cost quoted was Php 3.2K and the parts Php 8.3k which totalled to Php 11.5k. Upon review of the scope of work, it included the normal 40k kms check up plus change of air filter element, change of automatic trans fluid, change oil & filter. Mas mura ba kung ako na lang bibili ng parts and have it done by a mechanic or have the motor/ auto transmission oil changed at a gasoline station ? Meron ba kayo ma recommend na pwede gumawa nito so I can save ? Medyo mabigat na kasi to pay Php 11.5k. Thanks ...

sir since your out of warranty... dont take it to casa na. its not worth it. ang casa is for the warranty period only. after that take it else where.

    motorcraft banawe
    speedyfix shaw

^^ those two are very good shops to take your car. if your looking for even cheaper shops, banawe has a lot. its not complicated to change the oil. just buy the oil and filters outside, then labor to the shops.

what I do is I buy the parts from the Casa, then I let my trusted mechanic perform the necessary repairs on my Civic or City...the Labor cost estimated by Casas are so overpriced they are half the price when to do the repairs outside...hope this helps.
