New Owner of 97 Civic VTi...

hi guys new honda civic owner here, 97 vti....and currently enjoying it

i would just like to ask some questions about my observations on the car....


1. Malfunction Indicator Problem umiilaw...ano kaya problem nito guys? habang umaandar iilaw na lng bigla then hindi nawawala...pero pag huminto ako then off ang engine for a while then open ulit wala na siya pero minsan bumabalik minsan hindi...

2. pag open ng aircon minsan parang may whistle na ingay i dont know if bka isa sa mga belt nya....but minsan lang naman to...

3. May tunog yun brakes pag umaapak lalo na pag hard break though minsan lang din....

4. 75k+ mileage cya ng nakuha ko, what would be the important things to check aside from the timing belt,

Regarding sa breaks, brake pad wear na yan if you hear screetching sounds when breaking. Pwede ding palitan na yan...

alin sa mga icons ang umiilaw? kasi merong para sa engine, sa oil, sa brakes, etc

malamig pa ba a/c mo? baka compressor mo nag high pressure na (not sure though)

4. 75k+ mileage cya ng nakuha ko, what would be the important things to check aside from the timing belt

your fluids (powersteering fluid, brake fluid, transmission or a/t fluid, clutch fluid, etc). you might need to replace them already

yun kulay yellow sir, chineck ko sa manual nya (buti naitabi pa ng previous owner) kng ano yun and nkalagay nga sir na malfunction indicator problem yun...try to check kong ano meaning maya

malamig pa naman air-con sir....pa check ko na din if ever...

isa lang kasagutan jan.... speedyfix, hehehhe, expert na sa honda yun punta ka na lang since maski naman malaman mo dito yung sagot talyer pa rin ang makakapag troubleshoot nyan... baka lumala pa sayang naman ang gastos...

ah kung iyong yellow iyan bro, iyan iyong tinatawag din na check engine light (cel). the best option there is to have a trusted auto shop check it out asap (kailangan ng reader niyan). tama iyong poster sa taas ko, baka mas lalong lumaki ang sira pag pa-bayaan, dagdag gastos panigurado

ah ok mga sirs...check engine din pla yun...hehehe...eto nakuha ko sa manual " it indicates one of the engine's emmision control systems may have a problem. It says that it can reduce the vehicle's fuel economy and cause excessive emmissions causing "serious damage" in the long run."

bka by weekend ko na siya mapacheck sir, dun lng ako available...will try to contact speedyfix medyo malayo kasi samin, qc area ako bka may kilala pa kayo na trusted auto shop in my area...

by the way,ano kaya possible problems kung bat ganun? and pwede pa din ba gamitin ang car khit ganun na since weekend ko pa mapacheck?...ano mga dont's?....
