mga sir, need your inputs... my 00 civic lately has been giving me headaches.. overheat n yta to...hehehe.. heres the scenario...
on long stretch roads, while aircon on, temp gauge always shoots up.. siguro dhil na din sa init ng panahon, but i still find it strange... whenever i off the aircon, same speed, temp gauge, slowly normalizes...
ano kya prob dito mga sers.... cos, ang household mechanic nmn, nde din nia ma figure out...
sa honda center last year, what they did was, changed thermostat switch, upper radiator hose.. then ipinalinis un radiator...
few months, naging ok, but then, eto na nga ang ngyayari.. hehehe...
help would be appreciated..

June 15th, 2010 12:34 PM #5In case you bring your car to a reputable shop in your area, suggest to have your radiator checked by using cooling system tester (pressurized). This could check the condition of the hoses for leaks, radiator, radiator cap, cylinder head gasket. Check also the radiator fan, coolant temperature sensor, fan relay, thermostat.

check your fan motors. dalawa yun. isa dun mahina na ang ikot. palitan mo ng surplus.
and since napalitan na yung hose at thermoswitch, next would be the thermostat inside the engine (well, not exactly inside).

June 16th, 2010 03:44 PM #9thanks sa replies, well, para magkaroon lang ng peace of mind, i just had my radiator changed, (P7500) stock honda yata, hinde ko sure kasi.. basta me honda dun sa upper plastic part... hehehehe then, coolant change, WHIZ, purong coolant na bale sya, ok lang ba un guys?
anyway, any other tips to keep in mind on this sunny sunny days to keep our engines cooler? hehehe

Tama ba?
Kapag OFF ang A/C at normal ang temp - ON Radiator fan, OFF Aux fan
Kapag ON ang A/C - ON pareho fan
Paano kung OFF ang A/C pero tumataas na ang temp above middle - dapat ba mag-ON pareho fan kapag patay ang A/C?
