3" intake tube on Honda SiR?

is it recommended? will my low-end and mid-end power decrease? cause i read a thread about this so i would like to confirm it. I'm just using my car for city driving. I don't race so i don't want to lost my low/mid-end power.

3 inch pipe - increase high end, lose low end power
2.5 inch pipe - decrease high end, increase low end power

will someone confirm this?

intake tube? alam ko standard nyan is 3".
nagkaka talo lang ng size ng pipes, sa headers and sa exhaust.

In my K20Z3 engine the mere replacement of the stock panel filter to K&N made me loose torque and did not increase top end speed either.
