Most likely a Civic EK (1996-2000) or you might get lucky with a Civic ES (2001-2005).

Kung makakita ka ng 6th gen Accord (1998-2002) for the same amount, it is a much better car than both the Civic EK or Civic ES. Medyo malakas ng kunti sa gas pero dami safety features, better suspension, at mas mabilis kung harurot hilig mo.

Depende ito sa previous owner. Kahit bago-bago pa yan pero kung balasubas sa maintenance yung previous owner, sasakit ulo ng new owner.

I'd rather pony up to 300k for an FD...

+1 to this. A Civic FD for 300k is a much better option.

Pag bili mo ng kotse, dapat may additional 50-100k ka pa for repairs.

Bought a Civic 01 around 2011 for 205k so I assume looking for a deal like that now would not be too hard. You might be able find some FDs if you stretch your budget to 280k. Happy hunting!

Yep, look at Sentras (B14 or the newer N16). They are cheaper on the used market. You can get a newer car for the same price as an older and overpriced Civic EK.
