3rd gen civic vti / vti-s

sir/madam, any feed back or opinion about 3rd generation civic vti at vti-s? performance, fuel consumption and maintenance? many thanks to all.

is this the circa 2001 VTI/VTI-S?
my friend used to own one. ok naman maintenance. FC is around 8 kpl/city 12 kpl/highway and around 10 kpl mixed.

Let me just add in na hindi sya 3rd generation, its known as the 7th generation of the Civic. A good everyday driver, but probably the unwanted child of Honda.

^ maybe the TS got confused because the sticker plastered behind most es civics (i think) showcases the vtec-3 designation w/c, as most honda boys are aware of, pertains to its engine, not to its numerical model generation (did i just make sense? )

is the vti-s the one with the k20 engine?

if it is, then medyo bad rep yun sa mga tuners because it breaks down easy. pero for everyday use... im not that sure.

theres not much info i know about this engine kasi... hehehe

The regular VTI-S still has the D series 1.6L engine VTEC3. Yung K20 sa CR-V, the current FD Civic 2.0L and there was a limited edition model of the ES which was DOHC. Forgot the designation, pero it came after the facelift na...

Alam ko merong 2.0L na Civic ES. Pero hindi VTI-S yung model designation nya eh RS ata tawag dun (I am not 100% on this)??? Sobrang rare kasi eh basta merong 2.0L na DOHC na ES that 100% sure ako. Nilabas na lang after the mid-cycle facelift tapos limited edition pa...

yup, meron RS version. I think it came out 2002 ata tapos after nun, yung VTI-S na, which i think came out 2003-2004.

i don't know with you guys, but i kinda like how this model looks. clean cut sya instead of being sporty.

i own one es vti a/t. a good car for me. power and handling is good. braking system is not bad at all as long as you can manage at high speed. minor problems lang experienced so far. and be honest i can even beat a 1.8 and 2.0 with that 1.6sohc stock engine. same like the camry no regrets at all.
