If you can afford, usually better to get brand new. 2nd hand is ok if you know the full history of the vehicle (like if it's from a close relative or friend).

I own a 2013 Mirage GLS, save yourself some headaches and get the Jazz instead.
You don't wanna go back and forth of the casa after buying a new car, do you?
Because freaking Mitsubishi don't have an initiative.

Although mine's was replaced and cured already, I went through unacceptable stress level (for a brand new car) bago nila aksyunan.
Ganito problem ng Mirage.
If they can assure na yung 2014 models don't have this, then I would recommend the Mirage. Because there it actually performs pretty good (good FC, good features, good safety, good performance in general acceleration/braking/stable handling)......THAT IS, if you are able to start your car.
In fairness, I heard that starter assy parts are really scarce, I hope they would issue a formal recall once parts scarcity is solved. Madami na sa MPH, affected nyan.
