    It's all personal preference.
If you are easily affected or dismayed by seeing a facelifted car because you did not wait long enough. Then by all means, if you have the budget to shoulder the introductory price and maybe the tax excise plus the peso to dollar exchange rate, wait for the facelifted.

Been in that dilemma too. But I opted to just get the current model, because even though the design is already 3 years old, for me it still looks modern and up to date, and could still compete with the other subcompact in terms of aesthetics.

If I am not mistaken, the facelifted is almost exactly the same as the current one, the only noticeable difference (if you really pay attention) would be the front grille and the headlights, which has DRL integrated in the headlights. Other than that, the clusters/instruments backlight is white instead of blue (which we currently have now).

I kinda hate the new look of the front grille, the facelifted city looks more similar with the Suzuki Ciaz, that's just me, but that's how I see it. The DRL integrated in the headlights looks cool though.

Baka umabot as birthday gift mo si City.

Try scouting for good deals. I got 40k discount, and along with the regular freebies, I also got the DRL, Rain Visors and Trunk Tray.

Yung facelift sir baka hindi na talaga makakaabot, i got a feeling na baka isasabay din nila sa tax hike kasi gnun din naman e change price din naman sila kaagad hehe.

Thanks sir, when ka po bumili? I'll try to squeeze my sales agent for that as well, or if ever my plan pushes thru.
For releasing din kasi un and I've already made a dp of 25k.

Last March ako nag inquire, pero last month ko lang nakuha sasakyan. 30k daw talaga regular discount nila. Napilit ko lang siya na gawin nang 40k.

Waiting for the 2017 City facelift too. The Honda agent/manager hinted me that they will have a meeting/conference today (May 18, 2017) in Sta.Rosa Laguna plant. A new model or new car will be introduce. He assured me the longest waiting period after launched in Thailand to Philippines is 6 months. New city launched Jan.12, might be June-July 2017 in the Philippines.

If you can extend your time wait for 2017. The most important, mahirap magsisi "sana nagantay na lang ako".

It was already launched! Lots of improvement but keeping the same price as its predecessors! Wow!!!

For me, it's not worth the 1M price tag. A similarly-priced compact is a much better buy.

Much better bili nalang ng Compact car with the T badge, mas mura pa ng kunti at CVT na rin.
