For the 2.0S, yes. Na-aawa ako sa mga kumuha ng 2009-2011 2.0S, 30K lang binawas sa price pero more than 100K yung worth ng features na inalis.

    Nung 2009, 1.8S na pinaka-sulit.

Hi, planning to buy a second-hand car. Preferrably an FD. Which year is the best for FD 1.8S? And how much price range nya now?

    Thanks!

    Hi sirs,

    Good Day!

Is 350k good for a decent MMC FD? Or is this cheap, and I should expect alot of issues if priced at this point?

Bring a good mechanic bro to inspect it. There can be a lot of reasons for a seller to give his car area low price.

That’s about the rate of used late model Civic FDs. The earlier models (2006-2008) are priced around 300k. Check the mileage and ask the owner of the car’s maintenance record. There are certain parts of such a model that needs replacement every specific mileage period.

Kung MT vs AT with a K20, small difference in fuel consumption. Bihira yung Civic FD K20 MT kasi limited lang nabenta nyan locally from 2006 to 2008 (200 units only ata).

If you want something easier to maintain, just get the Civic 1.8L model. Its engine (R18) is still the same engine used on the FB and the current FC Civic.

Get the newer one. The mods you will put in the older one cost more than the price difference between the 2 cars.

And those mods are considered racy nowadays (smoked headlamps, CF hood)

Get the newer fresher 2011 car.

Like people, age is also more pronounced in older cars than in newer cars. The difference in wear and tear between a 2021 and 2018 model isn’t all that noticeable today, but for a 10 year old and 13 year old car, you’ll likely have more to fix in the older car, even assuming both were taken care of reasonably well.

I have a 17 year old Mazda 3 and the repairs for the last 3 years were certainly more than the 3 years prior to that.

Plus a 2011 FD will already have the facelifted looks (octagon tail lamps, nicer front fascia) vs a 2008 model that actually looks dated.
