Its a very good car. It only suffers on the looks department.

If looks really matter to you, maybe you could convince your folks to get you its sibling, the Jazz, instead.

we have 2. no complaints from both cars but if you really want to tune out your ride in the future (and dont want to have any hassle or problems tuning it with aftermarket or OEM stuffs), just wait for the facelifted jazz to be released 2nd quarter of this year.

mas mataas ng konti ang fuel consumption ng city against the jazz, because the city is slightly heavier than the jazz because of its boot.

Actually, in fuel consumption, we've seem nearly identical numbers for the City and Jazz... it's not a significant difference.

And the 2006 doesn't look bad at all. Not drop-dead-guwapo, but not as "ipis" as the older car (no offense... I wanted to buy it but my boss called it "ipis" and nixed the buy!).

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

I think its a very nice gift for graduation. You're so lucky to receive a gift like that. It has more space, flexible passenger seat and very economical sa gas. Not that bad looking as what others thought about it. May be they are just too conservative to accept new design concept.

kung di ka naman pinapapili at di naman ikaw sasagot ng maintenance, wag ka nang umangal! hulog na ng langit yan! hehehehehe

seriously, in terms of reliability, fuel efficiency and utility, sulit na sulit na yan. it would be a good first car.

get the jazz instead if you can still convince your parents about it.

anyway, swerte mo naman. grad gift mo auto.

OT: wag namang all caps yung title mo.

The City should do you well if you don't mind the nerdy looks. If you're after porma, a Jazz or Vios should fit the bill.

Saw the 2006 model in the showroom just yesterday. In terms of looks, very significant ang improvement niya. sa exterior di na mukhang subsob yung hood unlike the previous model. Though I can't say much about the engine kasi di pa ako nakamaneho ng 2006 (peram ng bibigay sa iyo para compare ko...hehehe). Malakas naman yung hatak ng 2001, and maganda ang fuel consumption niya. Pampanga to manila ko plus lakwatsa mga nasa half tank ang consume (Php1000 ang cost ng full tank). Siguro naman within five years and two redesigns later, significant na din yung power and efficiency niya. Anyway congrats on a good graduation gift.

lucky ducky. The only thing i got when i graduated was a pat on the back.

The 2006 Honday city's look isn't that bad mas gusto ko na nga yung tail lights nya than the older model. I've never drove one but i know someone who does. Sulet siguro in terms of fuel consumption. And pedeng pede as a beginner's car...Pero kung ma coconvince mo dad mo to buy you the jazz...go for the jazz.

Hehe it is indeed a good beginners car. Pag kumikita ka na talaga on your own, saka ka na lang palit ng mas bigger and better na car. Better yet, ngayon pa lang convince mo na lang dad mo buy ng Fortuner, Murano, o kaya Rav4. Entrada mo dapat, "Dad, do you love me?" Pag sinabi "Oo", saka mo sabihin, "If you love me, you want me to be happy di ba?" just wing it from there na lang hehe. May you have better luck than I did nung hinihiritan ko nung bigay din niya city as grad gift. All I got was a clenched fist and him jokingly saying, "Ito gusto mo nito?" hehe

hehehe. tnx kuya sa advice, try ko nga ask 4x4 hehehhe napaka demanding ko naman nun. sana naman wag akong itakwil ako ng dad ko. pero i think may dad cant afford those big cars na kasi M ang halaga ng mga yan. pero ill try to give it a shot pa rin. pero kung la na talagang pag asa ung city 1.5 ata kunin nya kasi daw pang girl daw un :bike: :soccer:
