what do you do?

whenever someone intends to overtake, be it on a multi-lane highway or secondary road, do you accelerate or do you give him/her enough space to safely make it? honestly please.

7 out of 10 times when I try to overtake, especially when speeds are high, the other driver always accelerates also. I hope no tsikoteers do this. ;)

more often than not, i let them overtake. some people might see it as being "mahina" -- i consider it proactive accident prevention

i hate those drivers na nagpapabilis pa pag nakita nilang umoovertake ako...nung minsan..uminit na yata ulo ko nun pinitik ko na eh....mali nga siya pero i really lost my temper then...

ako naman pinagbibigyan ko kung mabilis naman ba talaga siya eh...edi paraanin...para walang gulo...

i let them pass. pero if it is me overtaking and he/she speeds up didikitan ko siya until he/she gives way. better a side collision than a head on.

Para namang may makaka overtake pa sayo hehehehe... sa bilis mong mag patakbo..

afaik it's against the law na mag-speed up pag may oovertake sayo, although mahirap mahuli ang ganito at mahirap din kumuha ng ebidensiya.

Kung may mas mabilis pa sa akin, pinauuna ko na sya and slow down a bit on my side.

Pero kung ako ang oovertake at hihiritan ng bilis ng takbo... ibang usapan na yan, yung huling gumawa sa akin nun pinulot sasakyan nya sa pilapil.

yeah, it's better to let them overtake...it's not worth it to cause a head-on collision and potentially kill someone.

observation ko lang: while overtaking a much slower vehicle pansin ko binibilisan din niya, para bang pina hihirapan ka maka overtake.
tapos pag nalampasan mo na, pansinin mo,mag iislow down na to his previous speed.

ang ginagawa ko. prine prenuhan ko ng konti, after makalampas ako, just to let him know na alam ko yung ginawa niya. tapos diretso na ko on my way.

kasi ako, i give way to faster vehicles. i even slow down pag medyo nabibitin sila.

I let them overtake...Nakakainis lang minsan yung mga sasakyan na magsisignal na ako sa right bigla ba naman binilisan..Tuloy ako yung lumabas na gipit dun...kakainis...kakacra ng araw yun...

defensive driver me eh.. so sa ganitong situation... hayaan ko nalang siya umovertake basta mabilis talaga siya.. eh.. kung halos dinidikitan lang ako.... eh ibang usapan na yun...

pinapabayaan ko lang sila magovertake. mas mabilis kotse nya eh. 1.3 lang akin =)

kanina may muntik ng makipag-head-on sa akin. bobo kasi. dun ba naman nag-overtake sa blind corner. buti na lang at nakaiwas ako.

hinahayaan ko nalang sila mag overtake, pro minsan hindi rin nten maiwasan makipaglaro. haha.
