Shoulder / Median Passers

What's your take on those who use the shoulder in order to pass the heavy traffic?

From my observation, they worsten the already existing traffic when they are now trying to merge again with those in the legal lanes. And they even have the nerve to get angry when you don't give way to them.

What's more is that they spew tons of dust and small gravel (dito ako buset na buset).

Just last Sunday, the northboard traffic of SLEX is experiencing some moderate traffic. Then out of the blue a Strada comes barging in the median, spewing dust all around. He was then followed closely by a Delica.

relax. ganun talaga. nakupo lalo na kapag 4X4 or high ground clearance ang sasakyan.

pero oo nga nakakainis yan. lalo lang nag-aagravate ang traffic conditions dahil pagdating sa dulo e, kakabig din pakaliwa ang mga walanghiya! :D dapat dyan sa mga yan hindi pinapalusot. kahit magalit pa sila. (basta ba apply mo lang lagi yung rule na "nauna ako e" kaya pag na tumbok, sila magbabayad).

IMHO...lalo lang sila nakaka cause ng trapik pag balik nila sa lane nila

uhh... I have nothing against them, why? have you notice sometimes na nasa harap mo slow car in a fast lane, tapos another slow car in the slow lane, magkatabi? what are you gonna do? tailgate the cars running on 60 kph on a high way? so tendency is to pass at the shoulder, you have nowhere else to go talga e, parang ginitgit ka na... IMO

badtrip sila..nagkadent na dati ako from rocks na tumatalsik dahil sa mga yan..plus mas bumabagal yung flow kasi sumisingit sa harapan sila..

Naka-on ba yung hazard lights nila nung na-overtake sila sa shoulder? Kung naka-ON yon, then okay lang yon. Dito kasi, pag naka-ON yung hazard lights, 'INVULNERABILITY MODE' yon - you are invulnerable to traffic rules... pwedeng mag counter flow, pwedeng mag swerving, etc.

In SLEX northbound, traffic usually gets heavy during Monday mornings. A lot of cars go to the shoulder (including me).
I use the shoulder when I am approaching filinvest exit because if not, it gets difficult for me to merge with the cars coming from the shoulder that will also take filinvest exit. They ALWAYS get mad or DO NOT LIKE that I want to switch to their lane. It's like I am sumisingit and ayaw pumila.

I use the shoulder when I am approaching filinvest exit because if not, it gets difficult for me to merge with the cars coming from the shoulder that will also take filinvest exit. They ALWAYS get mad or DO NOT LIKE that I want to switch to their lane. It's like I am sumisingit and ayaw pumila.

Technically, and by law, you are not supposed to drive on the shoulder, except in an emergency.

But since they don't enforce the law during rush hour at the Filinvest exit... it's a free-for-all.

A few weeks ago, an Innova passed me on the shoulder (traffic volume was heavy). A few cars a ahead, a truck lost its tyre and went to the shoulder and almost hit the Innova who was not supposed to be there.

The gratification I got was seeing the truck tire stuck under the Innova and he sustained damage.

Sometimes I get the urge to do an emergency stop on the shoulder just to off those idiots... but that would make me an idiot just as well as it will jeopardize the safety of others.
