I have seen them around, especially in Manila area. These are basically a basic pedicab with a single cylinder engine installed to power it. No safety equiptment installed like bigger brakes, brake lights, horn, etc. They usually carry extra big loads and what worries me is these things stop with only the ordinary bicycle back-pedal brake.

Personally, I think these pose a big road safety hazard.

sa ongpin yan ah. Well safety hazzard talaga yan, sometimes they overload it with produce which makes it more of a road hazzard.

Any motorized road vehicle should be registered, and have all the necessary requirements (insurance, driver's liscense, safety devices...).

On the other side, they contribute a cheap transpo alternative but they abuse it.

I was thinking about the cargo-carrying capability. Kumukuha na rin pala sila ng pasahero.
