    Just sharing..

Along Ninoy Aquino Avenue (old Imelda Avenue), Pasay City -- you can see these people running around along the avenue.. looking for vans, cars, most especially when they see you coming out from the NAIA International Airport, comes near your vehicle and ask for alms.

Its ok to ask for alms.. but to the extent of putting their arms inside your vehicle when you have an open window, even climbing up just to be persistent for them to ask for money.

If you even give them coins... they will ask for more!

Now its the rainy season.. others have their cloths handy and then just approaches you and just use it to clean your car.. then ask for money.

If you don't give them anything.. they knock hard on your vehicle or even scratch it then run away.. since this is a busy avenue... you can't just go down on the street.

If you even give them just to stop them.. at that point when you open your window.. they put their hands in and ask for more..

got one video of them climbing up a van... asking for money.. too bad i didnt get the other one running to the other side where the window was open and putting even trying to put their heads and whole arms inside the window.

...as far as i know.. bawal na mag-ma-malimos diba? MMDA that are stationed in this intersection is not doing anything.. even NAIA Police that is always roaming around this avenue is not doing anything.

napansin ko nga ang mga ito last April galing ng NAIA terminal 1. hinahabol talaga nila yung mga sasakyan kahit sa gitna ng kalsada at naka-go para mamalimos. nasa left side kami malapit sa center islad kaya di kami nalapitan. hindi nga magandang tanawin lalo sa mga bisita nating mga turista. baka maging "more beggars in the Philippines" ang maging first impression nila.

yung mga kamay na pumapasok sa sasakyan eh naghahanap yan ng madadampot like cellphone or bag, kaya always close your windows and lock your doors.

Blame everything to the government. yan ang bulok na mentalidad.
in the first place magulang talaga ang dapat sisihin dyan, kanino bang anak yan?

    Now blame everything sa govt.

in 2010, when i first arrived in the philippines. it was around 5 am and me and my parents just got out the airport after a 12 hour flight from SFO. within the 5 minutes we got on the airport van and drove into the street, at the first stoplight, a man ran towards the van and pushed open the sliding window and reached his hand in, asking for 5 dollars.
it startled the **** out of us. we were all yelling, but he just kept begging for 5 dollars. when the light turned green, he clinged on and would not let go for about a couple yards.

i really hate that f'n road

Since you were in a public vehicle and the imbecile can't trace you, should've twisted his hand or slammed the window hard on his hand. Beggar or no, anybody doing that is asking for trouble and you can always tell the police it was self defense and you thought he was going to nab something from inside or open the door.

i forgot to add this part. as everyone was hysterical, i was about to do that since his arm was in front of me, but i played a few scenarios in my head.
if i did hurt the guy, would i have to pay for his injuries because the driver of the van could be working with the man? or he felt sorry for the "victim" and told authorities. the driver would know where i lived since that was our destination. paranoia helped with my judgement, lol

the beggar reached his hand in, asking for 5 dollars. and you'll twist or slammed the window hard na agad on his hand?
oh my---- you are so kind hearted. teach it to your children and hopefully they will grow up like you-----

So wala na tayong right na self-defense? Maraming loko-loko dyan.

Huwag kang magalala, wala akong baril.
