If yes, paano nalaman ng mga pulis na lasing ka? Do they have instruments to measure how drunk you are or they just used their noses?

Sa US kasi meron. Just wondering.

I'd assume they'd know based on the way you look, smell, and general body language (Namumula, amoy alak, slurred speech...), they most likely had trainings related to that.

Usually suspecion based siguro. If you figured into an accident, usually may medical exam to determine if you have anything prohibited in your body.

Ewan ko lang kung pinapagawa nila yung A-B-C na dapat isang linya, hehe.

As far as I know, they don't have equipments like breath analyzers since walang budget para dito and those are supposedly expensive.

anak ng ****. nahuli na ako nito eh. naka inom lang ako ng 1 beer tapos alis na agad. along abad santos ako nahuli (MANILA POLICE). wala silang basis kung lasing ka talaga eh..pinapamukha pa nila na lasing talaga ako so para less hassle at sa takot ko (madilim na area kasi) na din kasi mga 11pm na yun,naglagay nalang ako sa buwaya. baka ano pa iplanta sa auto ko.

Perhaps the most well-known DUI field sobriety test administered by law enforcement is the walk and turn test. Suspects must walk in a straight line, heel to toe, for 9 steps. The police officer will then ask the person to turn and walk back in the same manner. The line may be “imaginary” or often the white line on the highway.

My friend and I were too drunk .. we fell asleep waiting for the light to go green on the intersection of Makati and Ayala Ave. We were roused up by patrolling Makati policemen thinking that we were "salvaged" ... (that was what they said) ...

Got an earfull of lectures from them .. mismo on the side of the road .. Let us off with a warning that next time they catch us ... we're doing jail time .. no execuses!

Don't you find it weird na naglalagay ng checkpoints sa area ng mga gimikan sa gabi? obviously majority ng dumadaan is nakainom. One time sa malate may checkpoint along adriatico st., natawa na lang ako sabi ko malamang madami mahuli na DUI..

Lasing hindi, nakainom - yes (3btl SML, last btl 1 hr ago). Bakit nahuli?? kasi may mayabang na altis driver biglang nag accelerate & cut sa lane ko, (he was from the right lane) before he did the change lane he was only about half car ahead, that's how close. What happened next was the left rear of his bumper hit the right side/front of my bumper kaya ang final position nya ay diagonal sa harapan ko, yung right side ng front bumper ko nakadikit sa rear left side ng bumper nya. Napakahina ng impact, the speed maybe 20 or 30 kph, yung damage sa bumper ko ay ga bigas na tuklap sa harapan at gasgas na pintura sa right side fender.

Ako pa ang pinagbayad kasi ayon sa traffic investigator at fault daw ako dahil nakainom. What the heck, ang nakalagay sa batas ay driving drunk or under the influence of alcohol. Pero dahil sa nakainom kwartahan ka ng mga traffic investigator, of course connivance sila ng other party. Plus ticket for involvement in accident. Nagatasan ako ng 10K
Gusto ko sana magkademandahan na lang kasi hindi nila ma probe sa korte na "drunk" kasi wala test na ginawa ang mga investigator sa akin (walk on straight line, breath test, etc.) At the time of accident my wife & sister-in-law was on board. My wife is also a driver, she will never allow me to drive if I'm drunk. Bakit ako nagbayad? Paalis na ako in few days, back to work ika nga as OFW. Ayaw ko na ma hassle pa. Dasal ko lang sana ma-karma ang driver ng Altis na yon.
