Come to think about it, lahat naman ng mga vehicular tunnels sa 'pinas (at least in the metro) ay alang ilaw and pitch black also!

Its so different when you go to places Hong Kong, Singapore, New York, etc.... sobrang liwanag sa loob ng mga tunnels nila.

there are provisions for lighting, the problem is that there are undisciplined and unscrupulous people stealing them.. pag di kaya manakaw, binabasag naman.

muntik ko nang ma rear end ung isang taxi jan. there's this ditch that runs the width of the tunnel, covered with metal grills; problem is it isn't level with the road, and lots of drivers will suddenly brake upon seeing it.

i take this road every weekday...

as with entering any tunnel, prepare to adjust your eyes (from light to dark) and turn on your headlights even before entering the tunnel.

Just put on your headlights before entering the tunnel and travel at a moderate phase.

Among sa mga na-encounter kong problem sa Boni Tunnel:
- too dark lalo pag daytime, pero pag night meron naman mga lights kaso mo di naman lahat nakasindi..could be costcutting?
- be prepared coz minsan bubulagain ka na lang ng mga kariton, dyip or taxi na walang tail lights or kahit reflectors man lang.
- may napansin ba kayong air vents? Dapat meron ito or madilim lang talaga kaya di ko napansin.
- yung steel rails at each entry/exit both lanes, madalas wala sa kinalalagyan kaya pi-preno talaga mga motorista pag nakita ito

I seldom pass that tunnel (once or twice a year) but each time

I did it reminds me of the S-500 of Princess Diana and Dodi Al-Fayed.

I think what lma1911 is referring to is the Boni Avenue Tunnel in Mandaluyong which crosses under EDSA.

I remember I was biking and I had to pass by that tunnel. Nakakatakot talaga.

dumadaan ako dito everyday.
bad trip pa dyan is hindi pantay ang kalsada. maalon, kaya moderate speed lang talaga. almost hit a pedicab there bumulaga na lang bigla.

delikado din yung tunnel diyan sa katipunan... pag galing ka libis pa akyat ng katipunan, banking right yung turn... minsan nung napadaan ako, may mga mmda na naglilinis ng pader... wala man lang early warning device sa malayo.. blind turn talaga... magugulat ka na lang dun sa non-reflective "warning device" nila na may <<< print na nakalagay lang sa wire type stand.. tarp lang ata yun, tapos may tao sa likod niya na kumakaway... delikado talaga... muntik ko na masagasaan yung isang tao na nag lilinis kasi alanganin talaga pwesto nila...

buset!!! tinitipid nila yung mga safety gadgets nila e para sa mga tao nila yun!!!

lagi ako dumadaan jan nung sa boni pa nakatira gf ko...mahirap tlaga makakita sa tunnel pag araw, kahit naka bright pa ilaw mo, also ung mga steel sa daan e hindi pantay, tlagang mapapa preno bigla ang nde makapansin...kaya distansya at moderate speed ang kelangan

And one more thing , talaga naman kailangan buksan ang headlights pag pasok ng kahit anong tunnel, eh.
