technically, gov't issued vehicles are allowed to go to malls IF the passengers are there to purchase quipments/materials for the office or to canvass for stuff.

so ung mga gov't vehicles sa malls may lusot yan as long as they can show their trip tickets. sa restaurants pwede din kasi they can say na they're hosting a dinner/lunch for a client or another gov't (local and/or foreign) official/guest.

pag nakahuli ka ng gov't vehicle sa isang bar/sauna/motel and establishments na ganun well ibang istorya na yan. mahirap lusutan yan. gov't vehicles sa schools indi din pwede un.

and yes trip tickets are issued even on weekends and holidays. basta justified ung trip eh.

i apologize to the driver, passengers and also to the public office inwhich the van is issued.

Yup, benefit of the doubt ika nga... government does not completely shutdown on weekends so may chance pa din na official business yun.

Siguro yung mga walang lusot ay kung naka park sa beerhouse or sa enchanted kingdom or ocean adventure :-)

and certain gov't agencies actually conduct work during weekends such as the DENR, Mines and Geosciences Bureau and other such agencies.

basta red light district nakita ung sasakyan ibang usapan na yan! ;) hehehe

one time i reported a gov't vehicle picking up pasengers (mga office workers going to mkti po) sa mmda. kasi nga kasunod lang namin kaya na witness namin ang pagsakay along kalayaan at pagbaba ng mga pasahero along mkti business district. nung binalikan ako ng mmda para sa report ko, sabi nila issue sa DEPED yung vehicle. tsk tsk. ANG KAPAL NG MUKHA NUNG DRIVER!!!! HOY! PERA NAMIN YANG PINANGGAGASOLINA MO!!!

Saw one this afternoon about 3 pm. The next generation will think what their parents are doing with taxpayers money is ok as long as they get away with it.

I saw a red Nissan Patrol with a red 2004 sticker on the plate, but it's not your regular license plate. It's one of those silver plates the size of a Euro plate (we used to call them Benz plates) with 7LLC-blah-blah in red lettering.

Could be official, though it looks like the passengers are the driver and the wife and kid. But why that sort of license plate?

Too bad I wasn't able to take a photo.

hirap kasi, palusutan ang uso. paano kakastiguhin ng mga higher-ups ang subordinates while they themselves do those "unofficial and unethical" practices?

Nood ako mamaya IMBESTIGADOR. may report sila on Red Plates. Let's see what explanatons they have...
