yup standard ata ang 3rd brakelight..kasi nga yung iba d kaagad na papansin yun regular brakelights..

kasi po pangatlo sya...joke..
IMO,
1. it should be placed higher than the usual break lights, (para makita ng ibang motorists especially the ones next to your car,lalo na pag trucks etc...)
2. the idea of removing red cover is not really nice, its blinding everyone,lalo na pag traffic at every break eh iilaw ba naman ng maliwanag....baka batuhin ka ng sumusunod sayo, worst is that banggain ka...(break light nga eh, kaya PULA dapat...

I also saw your query sa North Auto Club. Well the 3rd brake light is a safety aid. Considering it's placement on most cars it's located higher than the tail lamps for the higher riding vehicles to see you.

siguro pag nakasakay ka na sa isang delivery truck or yung mga dambuhalang trucks maiintindihan mo kung bakit useful ang third brake lights.

January 8th, 2007 09:49 AM #5what can you say those drivers na keep stepping the brake na hindi naman necessary.. for me I feel uncomfortable especially yung mga merong 3rd brake light infront of me.

it's an added illumination during braking to those who has it thus alerting those following of slowing down. but those without a third brakelight will do just the same but be sure the brake lights work perfectly with the park light.

Kaya kung magpapatint ka, make sure na ipatabas mo yung area ng brake lamp sa likod para full-capacitated yung buga ng ilaw, hindi nasasapawan pag-umilaw. Yung iba kasi negligable nalang na oks ng ganun!

besides, in the jungle that is manila, we need all the safety equipment we can get hehehe

PHDM Gen3 Pajeros even have a 4th & 5th brake light (located at the rear bumper).
it seems this company is slowly dying.... only service for Metro Manila will now be in Alabang only...
