Actually, if you look at the NLEX, parang less pesos per kilometer ang fee nila compared sa northern part (Alabang-Nichols) ng SLEX.

Right now, the operating expenses are really high, because of the on-going construction. Looks like they are getting ready to make the SLEX at least four lanes.

If they do, I might forgive them.

If they do, but still leave the f**%ing potholes so that all the trucks will hog the damn left lanes (ginagawa na nila sa NLEX, buwisit!!!), I will never forgive them.

May bago nanaman pothole na sobrang lufeeeet. Before Alabang, on the right side. Where you usually pull into the right lane so that you don't "swerve" into the toll lane. Ang lalim, grabe. Thought my tires were going to explode.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

P82 na pala ang Nichols to Calamba for class 1 vehicles. The notice said that the increase from Alabang up to Calamba and vice-versa took effect August 1. Does it mean that there's no increase from Nichols up to Alabang and vice-versa?

ganun na nga yata... medyo di ko na tiningnan masyado yung toll fee table... bwiset na bwiset ako sa pagtataas nila after driving thru their pothole ridden, uneven highway :fire:

meron pang isang stretch of road na puno ng potholes... just after alabang viaduct... heading towards shell gas station... DONT STAY ON THE RIGHT LANE! tatlo or apat yatang malalaking potholes yung sumalubong sakin... di ko na makita dahil gabi tapos umuulan pa...mararamdaman mo na lang "bog! blag!" buti na lang trucklike suspension sasakyan ko, pero ang delikado baka di kayanin ng gulong mag tire blowout ako bigla.

Kaya pala! Eh nagkakadalugi na mga negosyo nila - Meralco, Rockwell Mall etc.

As for SLEX, wala namang dapat increase dahil wala namang binabagong kalye. Nung malakas ulan northbound from Filinvest, may mga puddles ba naman! Kung mabitawan mo manibela ng sandali ay siguradong mawawalan ka ng control. Definitely a nth-rate highway compared to the rest of the world!

the supposed increase of fee due to current construction going on should not be the case because the new construction would be classified as capital expenditure and not as an OPEX. Also the CAPEX requirements for on-going construction is already funded by financing institutions. I really don't get the new increase, i rant because you don't get what you pay for.

Safety is not efficiently observed in SLEX just like the simple big "X" when that extension exit booths are closed.

that is the reason why i dont use e-pass anymore.... parang nagiging out of control yung gastos eh.... toll expenses pa lang yan, wala pa dyan fuel expenses.

and yes, gaya ng isang poster dito.... natuwa na nga ako at 3 pesos lang ang increase ng coastal eh. now i take that route more than i used to. yun nga lang minsan talagang titiisin mo yung traffic after the tollway up to the las pinas - cavite road. pero sometimes, i still have to take the SLEX twice a day. dahil sa umaga naghahatid ako (si esmi) who works at insular life alabang (from las pinas - alabang - then makati where i work) and sometimes nagpapasundo naman sya....

Sayang nga na nagsisimula na maging malubak ang SLEX.

I can't recall exactly when, but it was around late 90s ata nung bagong renovate ang SLEX. If I recall it was as smooth noon as what the NLEX is now. Unregulated pa ang speed limits noon. At that time, parang oks lang yung increase as a result nung renovation. Grabe naman rin kasi yung SLEX nung early 90s before the renovation.

    *CVT: Coming fron San Pedro.

But if you're coming from Sucat, the stripped middle section of road is very entertaining... especially when people in front of you slam on their brakes when they see it (OA naman, sobra) or swerve into your lane to avoid it.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Our taxes should be enough to fund the construction and maintenance of these highways. Pero, napupunta kasi sa ferrari fund ni ganito at sa porsche fund ni ganyan, kaya ayun, we have to shoulder the toll fee pa. And sabay pa yun pagtaas nung toll yun pagtaas ng gas, so yun akala mong suntok lang, meron pa palang bodyslam ni big show!!! I'm not from the south but I feel for those that live there. Laki ng overhead expense.

    * seon, the SLEX is privately owned AFAIK. kaya di kasama sa binabayaran nating tax. it still sucks though.

kita ko kanina mga bagong lancer na patrol cars for the SLEX. yun siguro binabayaran natin ngayon. if only these patrol cars are really patrolling and apprehending violators, ok na sana eh. kaso mga shoulder users lang ang nakikita ko na lagi huli. and kaya ka kasi gumagamit ng shoulder eh merong truck na below the speed limit na nasa fast lane. bakit kaya yun hindi mahuli-huli ng mga mokong.

buset na mga lubak yan, meron din before the mamplasan exit (coming from calamba). nalubak na nga ako, nahuli pa ako kasi daw nag-shoulder ako. buti nakalusot, kasi naman anlapit nila masyado sa tollgat ng mamplasan eh.
