MANILA, Philippines - The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is studying a proposal to phase out outdated vehicles to address the worsening traffic in Metro Manila.
MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino said the phaseout could affect vehicles that are at least 10 years old. He added, however, that there are no plans yet to implement a phaseout.
Tolentino said heavy traffic and problems on the road are mostly caused by motorists’ lack of discipline and not by the large number of vehicles.
He said studies showed that heavy traffic cost motorists an estimated P137 billion last year in terms of fuel and lost productivity.Last edited by ghosthunter; October 1st, 2012 at 05:43 PM.

pano yung mga malulufet na mga 1968 na mustang?
imho, its not on the age of the cars.... it boils down on each owner's discipline on going out in a non-maintain and ricketty old car.
