I used to cross on the old footbridge when I go to my elementary school in Teacher's Village and college in Diliman. That explains kung bakit ang daming jaywalker sa are na yun. The district engineer who approved this and the contractor, who made this should be electrocuted for the design!

OT: I always view Metro Manila as not pedestrian friendly. How can you encourage people to walk if there is no infrastructure.

    maraming matitinong engineers nasa abroad.
sa dpwh, ilan lang siguro napasok dyan because of their
    competence.

The new overhead walkway at the Philcoa area was recently opened to pedestrians, who now not only complain about its height and “voyeur-friendly” stairs—but also the bundle of high-voltage cables that literally passes through between the steps.
