Last saturday while driving along SSHW bumper to bumper traffic, I put the car in neutral and I didn't notice na umaatras na pala. I hit the brakes as soon as I could, pero humalik na yung rear bumper ko sa front bumper nung nasa likod. I got down, and talked to the driver. Very minimal lang yung damage sa car nya, very thin scratch lang naman around two (2) inches long. Binigay ko yung calling card ko and I told her to jot down my vehicle's plate number para na rin sigurado sya. She told me na okay lang daw sana, kaso lang it's not her car, hiram lang daw. Sabi ko naman don't worry, the car is insured, basta tawag lang sya.

The car I was using wasn't exactly mine either. Ang gamit ko that day was a company car. I told my boss about the minor accident. Pwede ba sya tumanggi? Kasi feeling ko he's just going to take the money tapos hindi naman nya ipapagawa.

    Your opinions please.

Pagawa nyo na lang ser, besides you said that your boss is willing to. just make sure na masasatisfy yung may ari sa repair. di sya pwede tumanggi, papagawa na nga eh. 2500 for 2-inch scratch? hehe.

actually, it can easily cost 2.5K depending on the location of the scratch. if it's in the middle of a panel they will have to repaint the whole panel to make it look like new again. but it's suspicious that they only want the cash.

kung kasalanan mo talaga, at maselan sila sa auto, the right thing to do is have the car repaired. you could insist on putting the car in the bodyshop instead of giving them the cash to not give them the satisfaction :evillaugh pero baka more than 2.5K ang singilin sa iyo ng bodyshop

i've noticed that the driver of the other car is a "she". kung ok yung girl, yun na lang gawin mong pakonswelo.

Loko yung may ari nung car pag nagdemanda. hahaha! i agree with m54, probably the whole panel will be repainted. I prefer it rather than spot repair. Meron nga mga bata gumasgas sa auto ko, cguro mga 3-5inches, i had the whole panel painted. i think it cost me 2.2k, not bad for me.

well one of the best thing that you can do is to verify with a body repair shop kung talagang 2.5k nga ang gastos for a minor scratch, if you can find a shop that can service you less than that amount, you can suggest the car owner na you will assist them in repair that damage... actually for amount that little, masyadong hassle kung padadaanin mo pa sa insurance eh, if your car's insurable amount is 800,000... some insurance company will charge you 8,000 pesos or kaya 4,000 pesos for the participation fee para maayos yung claim mo, eh di malulugi ka pa niyan, unless kung malakas ka sa insurance company, possible na hindi ka nila cha charge even a single centavo.

but before you pay, put it in black and white para maayos ang usapan..

As I have said sa first post ko, my boss and I are willing to fix the damage. Yun nga lang, my boss wants to course it through the insurance company instead of just giving the other guy cash.

My question is, pwede bang tumanggi yung kabilang party? Kasi we offered to have it fixed naman. Pero gusto talaga cash.

Legally she cannot refuse because you have already extended to her every possible courtesy to settle the matter. The lady should give in because the main reason for you to pay and for her to ask for the money is to repair the damage. Period.

Simply tell her that your gesture is to assure her of total satisfaction for the repair to be done and at the same time to follow your company's protocol when settling accident cases like these.

If she does agree, you will have to make a note for you and her to sign stating the conditions of the agreement, like only your boss will pay and no cash will be accorded to her. This way you will be protected from any further "nuisance" from her hehe.

    Ay Women!
