Just came from the wake of a couple who perished 2 days ago in an accident at Commonwealth ave.

Sobrang dami nang victims ng mga bus, I think the govt should really address this issue.

Talk about lack of political will.

Condolonces to the family of the victims.

It's a 75 mm cannon and if I remember correctly the anti tank missile is based on the Milan

When I read the headline, I knew it was along Commonwealth (again)....

Bus crashes into jeepney, AUV in QC; 5 injured

    2:03 pm | Thursday, May 24th, 2012

MANILA, Philippines—Five people were injured after a bus crashed into a jeepney and an Asian utility vehicle (AUV) in Quezon City Thursday morning, a city traffic official said.

Police officer 2 Alan Florendo of the Quezon City traffic bureau said the accident happened when a Fermina Express Bus (TXJ 868) driven by Morales Macario, rammed a UV Express service (UVH 961) driven by Ansari Dediculan and another passenger jeepney driven by Joel Corpuz along the eastbound lane of Commonwealth Avenue in Tandang Sora, Quezon City, around 9:20 a.m.

Investigators are looking into report that Macario hit the two other vehicles after he beat the red light.

Dediculan was among those injured. The other victims were identified as Michaela Shain Verde, Mirasol Quilicol, Antonette Morilla, Joana Rilloso and Joel Flores.

Florendo said the victims were rushed to hospital for medical treatment, but most of them have already been discharged.

Macario has been placed under police custody, Florendo said. Jamie Marie Elona

I still hate driving on Commonwealth. It feels just so... unnatural. This is because of the speed limit (yet buses and motorcycles are speeding past you), the marked-off lanes in the middle (but you still go on it anyway), the U-turns, etc.

The buses and jeepneys have an advantage. Since they go around the same route evryday, they know where the MMDA speed-traps are located. So once passed the traps, they just go faster.

Chances are they're also in cahoots with the MMDA personnel just as well.

Akala ko ba DOTC is going to install speed limiters into these buses?

first time ko dumaan ng commonwealth last year and talaga naman mapapaaway ka. ilang beses ako ci-nut ng buses and jeepneys.
