Got hit by an Accord (MLR-333) owned by Dr. Luminardo Ramos (of St. Luke's)

I was idling behind a Lancer along EDSA (near Cubao) when all of a sudden I felt a massive collission from behind. Good thing though that I was standing on the brakes and I was also able to engage the engine brake (as I was in first gear and the sudden jerk made me release the clutch pedal but not the brake pedal). Even though I was just 2 feet or so away from the Lancer, I didn't hit him.

I thought at first that my rear was smashed... but I was surprised that the damage was confined only to the right rear bumper extension & some scratches to the body cladding.

Total estimate for the job? P17,144 - including the replacement of the bumper, repainting of the bumper & body cladding, and rustproofing.

A Honda Accord hit me... butas ung bumper nya... may scrape yung headlamps & misaligned ng konti yung hood.

Medyo nakikipag negotiate pa kami ngayon kung paano is settle... sabi ko sa kanila bayaran na lang nila ang participation fee na P7,500.

less than 2 yrs pa lang naman ang rav4 ni M2 kaya wala pang depreciation. participation lang ang babayaran.

Do we have tires that won't go flat and vehicles that grip the road through rain. We need tires that adjust to the weather the tires can prevent sliding when it's raining. And tires that adjust to conditions like mud, sand, wind, dirt and spills on the road. Tires that are long wearing and a good value. Tires that make a fashion statement. Different colors of tires instead of black. Maybe purple or blue, something to match the car color!

i agree with baiskee na buti nalang accord, don't fret, be glad maliit lang yan and nobody got hurt, oh btw, masyado mahal yang job estimate, im sure u can find a better deal somewhere else, di naman gaanong malala eh, 17k is just too much...good luck

sa toyota casa ang estimate... tutal insurance edi sulitin...

P6,560 -> rear bumper extension (brand new)
P1,085 -> reflector (brand new)

P2,500 -> tinsmith labor

P3,500 -> repaint of rear bumper & back door cladding

P500 -> rustproofing

mag 3 years pa lang ang vehicle kaya walang dep'n cost for brand new parts.

mas malaki yung damage nung other party i presume.

sure yan... may butas ung bumper nya... ang baka kailangan rin i repaint... may gasgas na rin ung headlamps nya. bago pa lang ung accord... 2 years (pero ung previous gen). kaso alang compre insurance. kaya yan... doble pa ang gastos nila.

anyway... eto ang diskarte nila. the driver is claiming that he will ONLY be the one to shoulder for all the expense of repairing my car (nahihiya daw siya sa amo nya). he is suggesting that I have it repaired to his kumpare. but upon inspecting the rear bumper extension...
