EDSA Motorists Threatened at gun point by escorts of a blue Suburban.

Driving along EDSA around 7:10pm last night had this rentacop signalling other motorists along EDSA to clear the way for a convoy of vehicles.

Granting this VIP had his way to his own lane, it wasn't enough that his security escorts, in 3 blatantly plateless Toyota Revos took the time to bang on other cars on the road. My displeasure was notably taken when one of them deliberately smacked my right side mirror to fold.

Inevitably this caused me to slow down and stop to reset my mirror.

Unfortunately, this was a fate shared by half a dozen or so vehicles who have themselves been victimized by these goons who have to suddenly stop in the middle of the road.

When EDSA traffic allowed me to catch up with them, the champaigne colored Revo had its front passenger point a 9mm pistol at me while the rear passenger brandished his automatic rifle.

The convoy then violently cut me trying to veer me off the road into the bus lanes prior to making a turn at Ayala Ave.

Who the f*ck is so important that not only do they demand 3 lanes of EDSA to themselves, and do so while endangering innocent motorists who are incidentally law abiding citizens?

I'm quite certain they can maintain their security without endangering innocent citizens.

The convoy looked very unsophisticated and the personel poorly trained. Obviously compensating with guns for brains.

Which is the saddest part of this story ... na malamang tayo pa nagpapalamon sa mga hayop na yan. Ba't nga ba matindi ego-trip ng mga animal na yan? Kung gusto nila ipakita tapang nila, duon sila mag-convoy sa Iraq at duon bagay ang pagka-OA nila. Tignan lang natin kung hindi sila sagutin ng RPG o IED.

Tough part is there was no plate on the Suburban as well.

Its simply dumbfounding how these miscreants flaunt their "power".

The escorts were poorly trained. I doubt it was a politician, as a politician would be getting flak.

A buddy of mine narrated a similar experience when he encountered Erano Manalo along EDSA.
