    Robbers seize van of MMDA exec’s son in QC

    MANILA, Philippines -- The vehicle of the son of an executive of the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) was taken at gunpoint in Quezon City Monday.

    Lito Vergel Dedios, MMDA traffic operations chief, said at least four men took his son's Starex 2007 (ZDZ-711) at gunpoint while the vehicle was at a carwash on Visayas Avenue around 10 a.m.

    The robbers took the van’s driver with them and dropped him off at the North Luzon Expressway afterwards, said Dedios.

    The suspects are believed to be bound for a province north of Metro Manila, he added.

    Employees of the carwash and the van driver will be describing the suspects to police cartographic artists, said Dedios.

    The incident has been already reported to the Traffic Management Group and the Quezon City Police District, he said.

    wow super bagsik naman ng mga carnapper na yan, kahit may bantay kinukuha pa din. I just hope na d ito ganti ng mga nakalaban ni Mr de Dios sa pagtupad ng tungkulin nya sa trabaho.

    Dapat imbestigahan nilang mabuti yung pangyayari. Baka paghihiganti ito ng mga nakabangga ng erpat nya.

    Hopefully, may insurance yung sasakyan. I doubt kasi kung marerecover agad yan ng mga pulis.

    Share ko lang. Nacarnap/carjack din yung Starex (2005 model) nung mom ng friend ko sa isang fastfood outlet malapit lang sa SM North EDSA (Proj 6 ba yun?) more than a month ago. Yung anak nung friend ko nag-attend ng kiddie party, pinanghatid sa kanya yung Starex. Habang nagpaparty, nagpark yung driver nila dun sa labas nung fastfood outlet at naghintay lang sa loob nung sasakyan. Ayun, maya-maya may 4 na lalaking lumapit sa kanya at tinutukan siya ng baril. Pinaupo siya sa likod nung Starex, ginapos at nilagyan ng blindfold habang minaneho nung isa yung auto. Pagdating nila sa may Novaliches, binaba na yung driver tapos humarurot na yung mga carjackers. Di na nila narecover yung Starex nila. Ingat mga peeps sa area na yan, mukhang hot item sa kanila ang Starex diyan.

    Hayuf talagang TMG kung may katungkulan pala sa gobyerno ambibilis umaksiyon. Narecover na yung Starex kahit pinalitan pa ng plaka.
