    from abs-cbn news :

Carjackers victimize 2 Army officers in QC

Carjackers posing as police officers seized cash, jewelry and a Chevrolet Optra from two Philippine Army officers in Pasay City Sunday night, DZMM reported Monday.

Radio reports said retired Army Col. Christopher Orosco and his brother, Maj. Casimiro Orosco, were driving along Commonwealth Avenue past 8 p.m. when they were stopped by three armed men posing as police officers.

The older Orosco said he and his brother were forced into the backseat after the three men pointed guns at them. He said the three drove their vehicle, a Chevrolet Optra 2005 model (XMY-550), to Pasay City.

He added that the three let them off at Sgt. Mariano Street in Pasay City at 9: 10 p.m. after taking their wallets and jewelry.

Authorities are now investigating the incident.

Medyo malabo 'to ah. Why target ones who possibly carry guns when there are lots of others na mas-walang laban?

Tingin ko it's either unmarked pa yung Optra (bagong-bago) kaya tinira, OR magkasabwat din sila.

    Yup. My point exactly.

Kaya I don't get it when people say, "oh **** kahit militar tinitira pano pa tayo mga ordinaryong tao lang".

Kasi most probably that is the case... Hindi sila naka uniform, tapos un-marked pa yung car.

High powered firearms nga kaya ang gamit as in M-16?

It's becoming an everyday event.
