    DZMM reporter falls prey to thieves


    The chief reporter of radio station DZMM fell victim to suspected thieves who took P300,000 worth of his belongings including guns, ammunition and an expensive wrist watch that were in his parked vehicle, ABS-CBN News reported Tuesday.

    Angelo Almonte said the thieves managed to break into his Tamaraw FX, which was parked at a Shell gasoline station near the South Luzon Expressway-Malampasan Tollway in Biņan, Laguna, on Saturday.

    Among the items stolen were a Magnum .357 revolver, a .40 caliber pistol, a .45 caliber pistol, a Rolex watch, a cellular phone unit, a purse and a two-way radio. Almonte said most of the items were inside two black bags.

    He said the incident took place around 6:30 p.m. when he and his family stopped at the gasoline station. Almonte said they came from Calamba, Laguna, where he conducted a seminar on proper gun handling. Almonte is a gun enthusiast and a licensed firearms owner.

    He immediately alerted the police after discovering the heist.

    Happened daw at 6:30 pm. Medyo maliwanag pa ganitong oras and that gas station is well-lit. Looks like he helped the thieves by forgetting to lock his vehicle!!!

    as shown from tv patrol...

    meron palang cctv sa shell, tinabihan fx nya ng 2 suv... mabilisan talaga, iniwan mga bala..

    naka-park pala ang FX ni almonte facing the highway, pag kumain di mo na mapapansin/abot tanaw.

    di kaya sinundan si almonte from calamba at talagang balak pagnakawan ng mga baril? di kaya yung nagnakaw, mga naka SUV so me kaya, eh kasama sa nag seminar at nainggit dun sa mga baril ni almonte na ginamit niya sa demonstration? throwing crazy ideas lang po...

    naku! kapitbahay ko pa naman dati si "gel". he's not only a gun enthusiast but a martial arts expert din. he's a very nice guy. anyway, malamang nga nasundan siya. well at least they're safe.

    narinig ko rin sa radio yan. meron pa nga yatang cctv sa shell,pero bakit d napansin na ninanakawan na pala eh kita naman yata sa cctv?
