The new head of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) got a firsthand taste of extortion while cruising in Manila Monday morning.
Radio dzBB cited initial reports reaching the Manila Police District (MPD) that LTO head Alberto Suansing was flagged down in the city and was asked for money.
The report said Suansing heeded the request of the still-unnamed traffic enforcer's demand for money before introducing himself as the new head of the LTO.
The report said the shocked traffic enforcer and repeatedly apologized upon learning his victim's identity.
It was not clear how the LTO chief reprimanded the erring traffic enforcer. - GMANews.TV
