Wait, is this a serious comment sir? Sarcasm maybe?
If you're still moving, why would you turn on your hazard lights? How would you signal those around you when you need to make a turn?
You only turn on your hazards when you're already on the side of the road, stationary.
It's like those drivers who turn them on whenever they see rain, LoL.

June 30th, 2019 10:50 AM #332in poor driving conditions, a sea-ful of blinking hazard lights on the road in front of you..
it is very difficult to determine in what direction, the cars are moving.
turning on the headlights & tail lights only, is better.
compound to this,
the season's and adverts' green and red lights... and motorists have difficulty interpreting what the traffic lights are signaling.

Maybe in rare instances. Mostly not.
I can give you one instance though, when we are somewhere in CAR and we experienced a total whiteout, we can barely see what's in front and what's behind. The hazard lights of whats on front helped out a lot.
And no, pulling over and waiting out is not an option. Bangin on the sides.
In the bus case that is on the news, he may have overestimated his skills and ability.

June 30th, 2019 11:10 AM #336It would help is the bus structure doesn't give way when it overturns. Mukhang weak yun integrity ng roof and passenger compartments.

June 30th, 2019 11:32 AM #338Tama. Switch on the lights, kahit in park light mode lang and the rear lights will light up... not yung hazard light, which is used to warn other drivers of an emergency condition.
But as to those who modify their tail & signal lights (smoked, or kaya from amber signal light to clear) because they "look cool" or are just plain "galit sa pera", the danger's self inflicted. The engineers who built your car designed those lights for a purpose- so they'd be visible meters away either in the dark or bright sunlight.

Somewhat related din: even when entering a tunnel/underpass, I switch on my headlights kasi:
1) If there's an open manhole, or big rock (yes, meron minsan), I stand a better chance of seeing it earlier; and
Switching on the headlights (or even just the fog lights) momentarily isn't too much a bother to do. A smart driver would know why. An idiot on the other hand, would endanger themselves & others just because of misplaced pride.

June 30th, 2019 12:08 PM #339Death traps naman talaga ang most public utility vehicles dito.
I once took a Nagtahan bound bus from Makati in the mid 90's - Southstar ata yung bus company. Somewhere between Buendia & the S. Superhighway, biglang nag amoy nasususnog na electrical. Nag panic ang mga tao, problem was, there was ONLY ONE WORKING EXIT- up front, katabi ng driver.
Fortunately, nothing happened. Everybody managed to get off (despite the stampede, iba sa bintana nakadaan), and they snuffed out the fire somehow because they caught it early, but nobody re-boarded the bus.
Take a look at 95% of the buses on EDSA, and you'll see no secondary emergency exits, and if meron man, sealed up. What's even worse? Yung mga naka body wrap (parang tint film) ng advertisements so even the windows are sealed shut.

Rode the bus earlier.
First time in a long while i felt sick. Driver was weaving in and out of the spaces and braking and accelerating hard.

Yes, because 100 degree boiling point is measured at sea level. What's interesting also is that...
