Meron bang nakakita ng accident na iyon at that time? Anyway, a good family friend of mine died he was only 21 years old! A very bright future awaits him but his life was taken away by a car accident. Ang alam ko lang his tires got screwed up tapos nagturn turtle dun sa alabang viaduct. RIP my friend.

I passed by the work site last night around 8pm and the place was lighted sufficiently. Kaya lang if you are in the fast lane coming relatively fast from the approach to the viaduct, medyo mahirap talaga maka-recover. But if you are driving cautiously, you can pass by safely because the work site can be seen far enough before you approach the viaduct.

Condolence to the victim/s of this accident.

Tapos, ginawa nila ang ibabaw, ng walang visible warning hundreds of meters before.

RIP....

Yup, I pass Alabang viaduct everday, that construction area is actually a nuisance to traffic, but it is a necessary evil. I don't want to get caught in that flyover while an Intensity 7.0 earthquake rages on.

In fairness to PNCC, the work area is well-lit since Day 1, and there are warning signs as you approach the area. But as the previous poster has mentioner, you should approach the area with caution. Driving WITHIN the speed limit (MAX of 80 kph) should be enough precautionary measure.

    Anyway, condolence...

On typical philippine standards ng repairs, it was well marked naman...of course if you are running that lane at 120kph or more mahihirapan kang magdistinguish ng repair light and incoming traffic (from the other side of the road).

Passed by last night, the area is now well-lighted.

However, the sign (starting from 1KM away was just a small piece of board. They should have a much bigger board and the road should taper a hundred meters before the actual site....

    RIP to the victim...

    OT:
Caught a glimpse of a news report yesterday about a car accident along Zapote-Alabang road (malapit daw petron - wer ito?) involving a Honda Civic driven by a girl on her 20s. Past midnight daw nangyari.

    Any details on this?

sayang talaga, at first we thought it was a sick joke. but when we got there in the wake, ayun reality hit us.

The SLEX starting from the Bicutan Exit to Filinvest is really unsafe. imagine a freeway that has a bottleneck, tons of pillars and no proper lighting.

I have to agree with you guys that's my daily route going to office. Only thing noticable is that construction area going on there.

    Condolences to the families.

sir moderators, can you please erase the name of the victim? we don't have the permission of the family to discuss this matter here, that's why i'm not posting the specifics of the accident.

this is just to protect the privacy of the family, nothing else.

    thank you.

sure, go there heightdeprived. tomorrow's the interment, it's the last day of the wake. i've been there sat & sun.

oh my apologies, I should have used the PM function instead. But as I have observed, the portion where the accident happened seems to be poorly lit, and as said, the rule of the hindsight were used in the implementation of the safety measures put in there...

ibang klase talaga dito sa atin. kagabi when i passed by sa area, complete with signs and lighting na. They already have the notice 1 km away from the construction site and nagliliwanag talaga yung area!

Puro reactive, walang pro-active approach!
