    Congressman Jaworski escapes injury as vehicle explodes

    (UPDATE) THE VEHICLE of Pasig Representative Robert "Dodot" Jaworski Jr. “exploded” as it passed along the C-5 highway in Pasig City early Tuesday afternoon, police officials said.

    Jaworski was not injured in the 1 p.m. blast that damaged his Toyota Innova, they said.

    “Sumabog yung sasakyan habang nasa C-5 [The vehicle exploded as it passed along C-5] near the Lanuza exit northbound,” Director Reynaldo Varilla, Metro Manila police commander told reporters in Camp Crame.

    Chief Superintendent Luizo Ticman, Eastern Police District commander in a phone interview, confirmed that there were no injuries.

    "Apparently, there was no bomb. There was faulty something in the vehicle," Varilla said.

    hmmmm. innova, sasabog na lang ng basta basta? kung electrical yun, dapat yun masusunog muna bago sasabog.... imho.

    If it's not a bomb, i wonder what could cause a relatively new vehicle to explode.
