In his Top Gear column, Aris Ilagan wrote about a BMW contest he joined recently. OK na sana kaya lang, he wrote:

"From swerving to beating the red light, I forced the BMW through the traffic mess just to save time."

"I stepped on the brakes and turned instantly as if we owned the streets. The drivers whom we cut were fuming mad. We stayed cool..."

He did state that he came in dead-last. In other words, the "nicer" drivers won.

Still, really bad that he actually drove that way in the first place.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Another reason to stay away from TGP.

He did specifically say there "swerving and beating the red light" and "drivers whom we cut". If that is his "writing style" to "communicate a degree of urgency" then maybe TGP's target audience are now PUV & PUB drivers. :evillaugh

The entire article is a promotional stunt to promote his new book:

may be we should ALL write to the publisher (SUMMIT) and perhaps even TOP GEAR abroad and TOP GEAR PHIL editors na rin about our sentiments...may be even suggest firing Aris Ilagan for doing it and the voluntary resignation of the current editor of the TGP for allowing that article printed (command responsibility)....common peeps, we just need to CC an email...e ilan tayo dito with similar sentiments.

Siguro naman, magigising ang SUMMIT and do a revamp....or if not ang BBC TG ay magigising that they remove the rights from SUMMIT publishing....just my pro-active stance.
