A MATH professor at the Ateneo de Manila University was killed in an ambush yesterday morning in Quezon City.

Nenita Cruel, 40, of Escaler Street, Barangay Loyola Heights, died from two gunshot wounds in the neck at the Philippine Children's Hospital.

Police said Cruel, together with her four-year-old daughter and maid, was about to alight from the car in front of their house when an unidentified gunman peppered them with bullets at 11:30 a.m.

Her daughter and maid survived the attack.

Probers have yet to establish the gunman's identity and the motive behind the ambush
