SLEX Filinvest WARNING

hi guys....i seldom do this but this is a first-hand account of my staff, Fer Joson.....just last Thursday, 2 March, at 8:00 in the morning my staff's brother, Manny Joson, coming from Makati drove out of the Filinvest exit from SLEX for Alabang....just after the toll gate, he heard a noise (turned out to be aluminum-type wires scattered on the road)...thinking that something got stuck on his tires, Manny parked his car by the roadside and (luckily with engine running) got out to look....as soon as he was looking under his car, he noticed some men coming out of the "grassy knoll" on the side...Manny rushed back to his car, got in but a man swung a box-cutter to his side....Manny was stabbed on his left abdominal side...but because his engine was running, Manny managed to speed off directly to Asian Hospital....luckily again, the stab wound did not hit any vital organ....just for your information...as expected, there were other cars driving by (mind you it was morning) but no one stopped to help....please pass...

araw-araw ako dyan... minsan umuwi ako ng gabing-gabi na... yung nasa harap kong auto tumigil dyan sa lugar na yan... tatabihan ko sana and bibigyan ko ng warning kaya lang sabi ng misis ko wag na at baka modus operandi to and kami naman ang matutukan pag tabi ko.

Iyang grassy knoll na iyan ang tambayan ng mga law enforcers na nagpa-flagdown ng mga violators sa SLEX.

And besides, I think the grass is trimmed (let me verify this afternoon), so walang pagtataguan.

Pero, logically diyan puwedeng mang-carnap kasi marami kang puwedeng lusutan from there, after the Festival Mall traffic light....

While the intention of the message was good, the source is bollocks. Alam nyo naman kung gaano kauso ngayon sa email and SMS yung mga "please pass this" na messages ngayon. :D

But yeah, we should always remain vigilant for our safety.

yup...it didn't happen to me...pero i agree to sir spectre, we should be alert at all times for our own safety. malay rin natin. heck, i don't go there everyday so hindi ko talaga alam.

eto ba yung after the tollgate about 50 meters away? Alam ko yan yung hintuan ng nahuhuli, lagi nga kong nagtataka kung ano mga violations nung mga yun, halos everyday be it morning or night pag pauwi ako may nahuhuli dun eh, majority yung mga galing manila ang natetyempuhan, that's why i'm wondering if that's the area we're talking about. Everyday dito pa naman ang daan ako. Ingat na lang tayo, (ano pa nga ba?)

And yes, the grass is trimmed. So, there is no way any shady character can hide and surprise you.... Ingat lang tayo palagi...

I doubt about that story because that place is very busy. Ang haba na ng pila jan sa umaga towards the toll gate. Yun nga lang, wide open spaces kasi yung lugar na yan kaya pwede kang tirahin tapos sabay takbo... kaso papunta saan? Ang traffic ng lugar na yan papuntang Ayala Alabang, tapos madaming umiikot na sikyu ng Filinvest sa paligid.

Anyway, may naisip akong strategy sa ganyang incident. If you have to check something out of your car. When you have to disembark from your car, turn-off the engine, take your keys, lock then slam the door shut. When somebody comes out of the bushes - RUN !!!! Malamang hindi ka habulin nun dahil magiging tawag pansin yung eksena. Saka muna balikan yun tsikot mo kasama yung mga pulis or stay from a safe distance and dial 117.
