a well known businessman here in Tarlac City was chased and shot by unidentified armed men after withdrawing cash from a bank. while being chased, a couple of shots was fired and hit a shoulder and arm of the businessman, but he did not stop the van and continued to avoid the armed men, when he bumped into a parked car while trying to make a turn. the gunmen immediately alighted from their vehicle and smashed the rear passenger window of the businessman's van and took the cash. they fired another shot before leaving the scene through the back of the businessman that hit his spines. the cash was said to be amounting to P500,000.00 and was supposedly to be used as payment for the renovation of their house. the van, a Chevy Venture, was the daily driver of the businessman's wife.

the two bullets in the arms and shoulder were already taken out of the victim in the local hospital, unfortunately, they cannot operate on his spinal column and the victim have to be rushed to a hospital in Metro Manila.

tsk tsk tsk...ano ba ang nangyayari dyan sa cojuangco-land?

500k from an ATM? surely there are safer ways to make the payment -- baka makakuha na nga sya ng armored van for that kind of money

Ang laki naman, pwede naman niya bayaran ng check para mas safe. Usually when you widraw huge amounts you keep quiet until the last minute. Inside job yan. Grabe na peace and order dito. Paging Gloria Macapagal Arroyo!

its either employee ng bank or meron taga bigay ng tip na nakaupo lang sa loob ng bank.

this was not the first time na nangyari ito dito sa Tarlac. at least once a year, meron nara-rob dito coming out of a bank. usually payroll money ang na-withdraw.

when withdrawing that kind of money (esp from Rural Banks) you have to inform them beforehand (as they might not have sufficient cash on hand).

that is why you should establish a good relationship with your bank.

Sir am aware of that... What I mean is, talk DIRECTLY to the Manager and if possible a same day transaction, and don't tell anyone about widrawing a large amount cuz you can't trust anyone these days.

Well in our experience, we deal directly with the contractor, no cash payments, only checks for obvious reasons... la talaga kwenta pag foreman lang kausap mo.

tsk, iba na tlaga panahon ngayon. D ba natakot ung mga holdaper na they might attract attention from the police nung nakipag habulan pa sila at pinaputukan pa ung businessman habang naghahabulan? Malakas tlaga loob, I wonder bakit walang rumespondeng pulis, sa liblib na lugar ba to nangyari?

depende kasi yan sa work experience nyo with the foreman. kami, more than 20yrs na, iisang foreman lang ang gumagawa sa amin. mas maayos pa at matinong kausap kesa mga tunay na engineers.
