well, are we talking about just the bumper, or the whole front end? are you talking about the E90 (2006+) 3-series?

kung bumper lang, i agree with the other guys. if you want a 2003 look, well, you'd have to perform substantial modifications to the whole front end including the hood and fenders....and that's a different story (pero di parin dapat ma-void yung warranty sa mechanicals).

i would question, however, the wisdom of doing major surgery on a new or close-to-new car. if you don't like the looks of the new version, just buy the older version and save some money. or if you already have the car, look at some aesthetic mods to make it look different.

come to think of it.... pwede rin sabihin ng dealer mo yan.... alam mo naman dealers dito, lahat ng palusot gagawin basta makaiwas sa responsibilidad at gastos sa warranty.

Pwede siguro pero wala pa namang umubra sa akin. hehehe. Basta valid ang claim, kahit magsigawan kami sa showroom floor ok lang.

To be sure, ask nyo yung dealership kung ma vovoid ang warranty kung papalitan nyo ito etc etc..... But I don't think kung bumper lang e marerelate nila sa engine trouble pwera lang kung walang grill at nag overheat.

Kahit saang dealership ka magtanong, initial response ay parating 'YES'.

Sa Toyota na lang sasabihin void ang warranty mo if you replace the Fortuner's wheels with those bling-bling things. Pero kapag sa kanila mo binili yung set, hindi void! Eh parehong pareho naman yung benta nila at benta ng labas right down to the tire brand. hehehe.

Madami naman dealers and the warranty is honored nationwide. So just go to another dealer if one is playing crap on you.

mga sir.yes the dealer has the last say i do aggree with you guys.just some things you have to consider.most of our cars today has the impact sensor left and right and are on the bumper mounts if not on the bumper it self.youl loose your claim sa warranty and insurance pag pumutok airbag mo.due to the modification. ambient temp.sensor are right on top if not on the bumper vents.that would effect the a/c efficiency.as i said its still the dealer last say lam mo naman barat mga dealer natin. thanks

Ang dealers lahat gagawin ang paraan para di mo ma-claim ng warranty... believe it... bka kapag nasira ung lock ng trunk mo e sabihin nila "pinalitan mo ung front end eh..."

To be on the safe side antayin mo na lang ma-out of warranty... or buy the other car...

Its not worth na makipag debate ka sa dealer over if its under warranty or not.

Having to keep a fleet of vehicles running (for the bosses and such), making warranty claims is something I have grown accustomed to. For the few times a dealer and I have disagreed on a particular matter, it was always up to them to prove that the modification had caused the fault for which work was being claimed for. And this is not just one particular make or brand because iba-ibang brands ang gamit dito.

Take for example the Picanto. 3 years ang warranty niya. Mahirap naman kung 3 years siyang walang alarm considering that the vehicle can get parked in pretty iffy places and walang gusto magtiis ng 3 years na de-susi ang mga pinto.

Sure, the dealer sells an alarm. But our prior experience with the only brand they are selling was not good. And the price they are selling it for is highway robbery. Hindi ka pa makasigurado sa magkakabit kasi 'magtatawag' pa sila ng tiga labas.

So I get alarm installed at Jeff Tan's. Warranty stays. When one dealer could not diagnose the problem (they did not deny the claim but didn't have the right equipment), I just went to another dealer to have issue fixed. No problems with them also.
