Im just wondering why most vehicles have different front and rear tread dimensions? The most obvious, per my observation, is the Mitsu Adventure.

?
di ko naintindihan yung tanong. parehas naman ang tyres front and rear. and if you mean wheelbase, parehas din yun ah. paki-explain what "tread" or "thread" you mean.

Front tread is distance from left tire to right tire of the front wheels.
I've also noticed that with most cars the front tread is bigger than rear tread.

Track ang tawag doon. It's the distance between the wheels.
Most economy / family vehicles have a wider front track, while sporty vehicles have equal front/rear tracks or a wider rear track. My car has a wider rear track, even though it's front wheel drive. I suppose this has something to do with balancing control. Since economy cars are set to understeer, a wider front track would make them easier to turn, while sporty cars, which are set to oversteer, would benefit from a wider rear track, which would make them more stable. (correct me if I'm wrong, please).Last edited by niky; August 13th, 2005 at 03:00 PM.

Even on Brave (a chromium based browser) the textbox is really short. Started happening after that...
