Matrix: Who was first?

The Matrix car name is out, but who came first? There is Hyundai with a peculiar-looking mini wagon, and Toyota with a great-looking cross between an MPV and sports car?

In the US, the Toyota came first. Here in our shores, the Hyundai's the first.

I thought that the fastest wagon below $25K is the WRX wagon :wink: Maganda nga at functional yung Matrix but I prefer the Protege5 :D Ewan ko ba :roll:

actually ... balak talaga ng toyota ilaban ang matrix as the fastest. pero so far, the wrx wagon pa nga rin ang may hawak. i'm not sure kung itinuloy ng toyota yung pag-tune ng matrix for it's potential.

the mitsu airtrek should also have been a candidate for this, but the ride height of the airtrek put it in X5 category, hence, it lost. but with a 280-bhp evolution derived engine and chassis, this is one heck of a ride!

and yes, mas gusto ko pa rin yung protege5.

fastest wagons would be the audis... these things would eat 911s for breakfast.

RS6 = 450hp
RS4 = 380hp

don't remember the RS2 specs, pero mabangis din.

the japanese have a whole gaggle of wagons with 4wd and 280 hp on paper... like the Toyota Caldina and Subaru Legacy :shock:

For $25K and above, maglalabas ng Hemi-powered RWD wagon ang Dodge called the SRT-8 (it will sell around $30K). Why get those European wagons if you can get one that can do 0-60 in 4.7sec in the mid $30Ks :roll:

but how's the overall package? i'd take, say, an Acura RSX over a turbo-rocket Dodge Neon SRT coupe that's much quicker in a straight line

Yung Hyundai yata ang nauna sa pag-release ng model na Matrix ang pangalan sa world market. Dati ko pa kasi nakikita iyon sa website nila, eh.

There is ONE. Autocar did a feature on the BMW M division, and there is a one-of-a-kind M5 touring, as well as an M3 pickup and a very special 7 series (the old generation).
