The car is based on the previous-generation Mazda 323/Family/Protege. As Mazda consolidates its Chinese business Haima is launching its own versions of Mazda products which will be marketed through different sales channels.

For FAW, China's biggest car manufacturer, Haima is yet another independent brand, following on the heels of Hongqi, Jiefang, Xiali and others.

Family II will be using Mazda-sourced 1.6- and 1.8-liter engines.

the company FAW seems to be the nicest car company to come from China...

their cars seems solidly built and not simply rip offs as some Chinese car companies...

The current China cars on the market are pretty crappy. I don't know about the licensed/more expensive China cars, though.

China is the only way to acquire a brand new Nissan Patrol GQ nowadays. I hope they've started cranking out the diesels.

The front is almost a direct factory lift of the previous generation Protege front.



The rear-end looks much better than the Protege rear-end, but I still prefer the Lynx rear.

Is it coming here? Okay yan na pang-harabas kung 1.8 na manual...

that's true, local china branded cars like geely, greatwall, chery,xiali and few more are crappy indeed. that's why they sell cheap here.

expensive cars here are those japanese, euro and american ones which most of them are also manufactured here, well except for a few. and most of them are done in good quality, except for buick gl8 or chevy venture in phil.

matured bayers would'nt compromise quality just to get a cheap car. mas malaking sakit ng ulo at gastos dadalhin syo non.
i have a pinoy friend who bought a brandnew greatwall suv(not hover) for out about 100k RMB(P650k)...ayun one year pa lang pero dami nang repair , maintenance works at pati makina nabuksan na. mukhang 4 yrs old na rin. while my 1 yr-old honda city, change oil sa engine at gear lang bago ko itinrade-in sa civic.
