Mosquitoes in the Car

i did the same thing as 20vanda01 did. when i got the car, may mga ants sa loob ng car, very small ants na namamahay na doon. i generously sprayed baygon original formula in car (but not on the surfaces) especially on the corners and places ants crawl. i let it stay overnight all closed. the next day, i saw tepok na lahat ng insects. i drove it on my driving training sessions, at nung marunong na ako saka ko pina sound setup then interior detail. then after which, saka na yung mga ibang stuff like california scents, ambi pur, ionizer, etc.

di naman na nagkakaroon ng insects sa car, occasional nalang like talagang nakapasok while door is open, etc. which nakukuha naman sa hampas o palabasin.

normally eh sumasabay lang lamok everytime na i-open mo yung door during the night..

the best thing to do is spray a baygon water based sa loob ng car.. damihan mo ng spray sa front area para medyo pumasok sa loob ng dashboard.. at iba pang butas around the seats... at damihan sa carpet area... tapos iwan overnight.. normally eh after 2 to 3 days eh wala ng amoy...

pwede din gamitin mo yung baygon na aerosol based... sobrang tapang nito at mahigit 1 week bago matanggal amoy... since aerosol ito eh mamatay na lahat ng insekto sa loob ng dashboard at ceiling ng car.. ginawa ko na ito sa 1 day old revo namin nung kinuha sa casa dahil meron "ant colony"!!!.. nireklamo ko nga eh kaso di pa din natanggal lahat.. kaso natatakot ako at baka pasukin mga electronics part ...

after mag spray ng baygon eh ipa-interior detail lahat para mawala amoy...

buti nga walang daga.. yung dati namin car na 1977 corona eh pag tapak mo ng brake pedal or gas pedal eh biglang meron kakapit sa daliri ng paa mo pag naka tsinelas hehe.. tapos halos mabungo mo harap mo sa sobrang gulat

hahaha baka nga madisgrasya ako pag sakin yon nagyari hehehe

i remember my friend's charade before, pinasok ng daga yung aircon system, then siguro na stuck doon at namatay. pucha. pag binuksan mo aircon ikaw naman ang susunod na mamamatay. sa baho. ayaw nga naming patakbuhin ng matulin nung time na yun, dahil pati sa circulation vents lumalabas ang amoy. ewan ko kung paano niya na solve yun.

linisin mo ang bahay mo. malamang kung ano meron ka sa bahay ay may possiblity na ma-transfer sa auto mo. take the advice of others. take precautions on how to prevents pests from invading your your home and you'll also prevent them from getting into your car. HTH.

Check all the storm drains near your garage. Buhusan mo ng madaming tubig araw araw para walang kitikiti. Kung walang kitikiti, walang lamok. Tapos, maglagay ka ng katol sa garahe nyo tuwing gabi. Also always make sure na sarado yung outside vent mo.

^ you can try not leaving any clutter and any edible stuff in your car so that they will not have any food to sustain them. then leave your car under the hot sun for several hours (preferably the whole day) to dehydrate them.

Tama, ganyan din sa akin dati, kahit pa tangalin mo pa yung carpet or even mag spray ka pa every night

Hehe. Walang macho sa lumilipad na ipis. :D

Parang bahay lang yan, pag may clutter, food scraps, basura, may ipis. Remove the seats, carpets etc and clean the car thoroughly and avoid keeping your doors open for a long time, especially if you're parked near a trash can. I've had roach visitors in my car several times already mainly because they sneak in while the doors are opened then it's trash pick-up day so we have some trash cans in the garage.

Even if there's no food inside the car, a cockroach can survive on anything it can gnaw on. carpets, wire insulation, die-electric grease, etc. You name it, if its soft enough to chew upon, they can eat it. There are roach traps being sold at groceries and mall hardware stores, IMHO those are effective too.

I once bought a car that smelled of rat piss inside, no matter how I cleaned it .. it still smelled the same! So I took some sticky fly paper and dabbed peanut butter in the middle. Early the next morning, the thing caught not one, but three (3) mice!

Got rid of that car before I died of leptospirosis!
