are they still in business? are they still selling the old B2200's/Anfras? And is it still a good idea to get these trucks/vans?

Originally Posted by SunTzu

I dont think you have the right to say that Mr Fernando was ousted because of corruption. The truth is Mr. Fernando is the most trusted brother of Anastacio and one of the founders of FMC together with Jorge, the younger brother. It was during Fernando's term that FMC became bigger, making more that 1 billion(at least $500) in revenues. The down fall of FMC was not because of corruption but largely because of the Economic Crisis that hit the whole world and partly because of the lack of support from the Philippine Board of Investment. The Board of Directors knows this very well. Your GF might be one of them and since they are the majority stock holder, they could have voted him out sooner, but because they know nothing of the business, all they can do is blame somebody. This is a fact and please make sure that you get your information straight before posting it. I have worked for Mr. Fernando for 30 years and he is most decent and honest person that I know and if he was younger, FMC would be bigger and you and your GF will be enjoying like they have been for so many years!!!!!! This is not the time for blame, FMC has an established name in the Philippinesand all they need to do is tap the KNowledge and experience of Mr. Fernando.
The francisco family should stick together and weather the storm. They have survived fo 60 years and they can still do it. Reach out to your clan overseas maybe they can help sell FMC JEEPNEYS all FILIPINOS will relative in the Phillioines all over the world.
The only Filipino gainst FORD, GM, ISUZu, TOYOTA, etc.
You are right! Blaming anyone is not the way to go. The past is past. We can't do anything about the past now but we can learn from them. Moreover, we build on top of the achievements of our elders.
The Francisco legacy still lives in different corporate names today in different parts of the country. Francisco Motor Corporation has been there for more than 62 years now and as long as there are true Francisco's in the Automotive Industry, the legend continues...
In the most recent history, FMC managed to produce a few ALL BRAND NEW FMC Jeepneys powered by Brand New Isuzu 4JB1 Euro II Emission Engine in cooperation with Isuzu Powertrain Philippines. Though they are much more expensive than the reconditioned and surplus competitors at the price of P680,000.00, many were still patronizing it because of the superb quality and the name behind the Jeepney. Plus, it's ALL BRAND NEW. Many FMC Jeepneys that were produced 20 years ago are still running and still serving the Filipino people today. It means, if you buy a brand new FMc Jeepney now, you can use it for business for the next 20 years.
Now, we are undergoing a massive campaign of servicing old FMC Jeepneys and replacing old engines with new ones, of course for a reasonable fee, to comply with the clean air act of the government and also for the safety of the commuting public. For more information on FMC Jeepney servicing and engine replacements, please inquire at +63 (88) 8584760 for JAC Motors - Cagayan de Oro and +63 (2) 8725102 for JAC Motors - Alabang and +63 (2) 3931683 for JAC Motors - Makati and JAC Motors - Paranaque. You can also email me at elmer*elmerfrancisco.com. You can also check out http://elmerfrancisco.com/fmc for more details.
Other than that, we are also currently developing a new breed of FMC Jeepneys with Chinese made diesel engines for lower costs but with great quality and electric powered Jeepneys in cooperation with State Motor Corporation. We will reveal more surprising details within the next few months. Anfra development will follow.

Very enterprising ang Franscisco family. Mabuti at under rehabilitation na FMC. Truly Pinoy yan at malaki na-itulong yan not only in Las Pinas but for the country as a whole. Im still happy seeing those numerous Anfras and Pinoys going around the streets of Metro Manila and Cavite.
That will be a great news for the Pinoy auto manufacturers and the industry as a whole.![]()
