3 years after ok pa sya. yung secondary never ko pang napalitan or napa repair.
well, unless nakaka 50k kms per year ka or lagi kang nagbobomba ng clutch, hindi ata normal yan. pacheck mo na lang at paayos sa matinong mekaniko and be sure of the parts to be replaced. hth

Wow, ambilis naman.
Our old AE101 Corolla's clutch lasted 7 years...that was with me doing a lot of severe engine braking for a short while.

sir, masyadong maaga para masira ang primary clutch in 1 year. dati sa AE101 ko kahit replacement lang matagal ang inabot hanggang nabenta ko na. If i'm not mistaken FIC ang brand nun. kun sira na talaga yung primary clutch you have to replace the whole assembly, nag try na ko magpalit ng repair kit pero tumagas pa rin.

February 26th, 2008 06:26 PM #7in replacing your primary / secondary or commonly known as Clutch Master Cylinder Assy and Clutch Slave Cylinder Assy, you have two options replace it with a repair kit or the whole assembly, repair kits costs around 250 pesos depending on the car and the whole assembly costs 500 to 1,500 pesos. If using repair kit you need to clean and check the cylinder for deep marks / damaged caused by the worn out piston seal rings... if deep scratches are noticeable you need to replace the whole assembly otherwise the kit will not last very long since the scratch will only damage the repair kit seals.
in their life span, it will depend on your frequency of use or driving habits especially if you are a clutch rider (always have the foot on the clutch). Some will not leak but you will notice stiffness everytime you step on the clutch..

February 26th, 2008 08:06 PM #8salamat sa mga replies. I guess its the kind of clutch assembly I installed. made in taiwan kasi kaya siguro mabilis bumigay. bili nalang ulit ako ng whole assembly para install nalang... about my seconday clutch? last year ko lang din pinalitan, should I also replace it for preventive maintenance? thanks ulit.
